Looks like Ricky will be taking on Maussa for the WBA title on the 26th of november.
I cant see Hatton having too much trouble with Maussa but he will have more to bring to the table if he wins.
hatton/maussa
hatton all the way. inside fighting by hatton will take away wild swinging maussa's attack.
hatton whenever he thinks it's time to collect his bet.

Chances are the ref is going to stop this puppy after 7-8 rounds of Massau getting hit with 50+ punches a round.
You can hit Maussa in the face with a truck and the dude is going to walk through it. Harris has a pretty good punch and hit him as flush as you possibly can and the dude ate it up like Cheerios.
I hope Maussa wins, i would love to see it. It would make me so happy i would puke. Whatever happened to a fight in the states? What about a rematch with KT? I want to see ricky loose.
If Hatton slips and breaks his back within the first minute of the fight will Maussa be the fighter of the year just like they made Johnsson after he beat Tarver and Jones? LOL!
:boxing: :boxing: :boxing:
I only see Maussa getting himself roughed up,here, chances are pretty slim for him against Hatton. I kinda doubt that a Hatton/Mayweather fight will take place.
I love Hatton but it would be funny as hell if Maussa won...he looked like shit against Harris but he can take a punch (or a couple hundred) and that may keep him in there...but Hatton probably has more of a punch than Harris so it may end early...unlikely that Hatton can lose this one...it is the year of upsets though..
If this fight were to be made next year for a superbot against Mayweather, I belive Cotto would go to England to fight...
Well a fighter should go where the money is, Cotto's clever so i assume he'd go to England.
Remember whan Hatton fought Justin Rowsell in London?
I reckon Hatton Maussa will be exactly the same.
I think Maussa punches harder and has a better chin than Rowsell, that was a beat down. Rowsell has far better technical ability though.
After November Hatton will hold two belts, so this means hes going to unify (cause if he didnt it'll just look bad), which belt he gonna go for in 2006? Cotto's or Mayweather?
I'd rarther he fought Mayweather but he's already said he doesnt want the fight in England, which is basically saying he wants US judges and less money, Hatton wont agree to that because he watched Castillo vs Mayweather I and he wants as much money as he can get.
Cotto's a really good fighter, that would be a genuine challenge for Hatton and i think it can be made.
Cotto scored a rather uneventful TKO over Maussa from sustained punishment.
In the UK with a British referee, I'd expect the same result.
Either way, I thought Harris had a rematch clause in his contract? What's the deal with that?
Maussa will be lucky to last 4 minutes in the ring with Hatton.
Hatton by very early KO.
Poor Maussa's gonna get butchered in there... It's a miss-match.
You have to say everyone has a chance and Maussa is a puncher but i dont think he'll cause Hatton any problems, the chances of Hatton losing this are very, very slim. To let a fighter with no technique and no defence fight a rampaging, heavy handed fighter like Hatton is a bit sick!! Like you, i think Hatton will butcher him.
I think the ref will save Maussa from futher punishment, maybe Maussa could last the distance but if it gets brutal i think 99% of refs will stop it.
