2 more rounds vs. Larios would have meant about 10-20 fewer years of life for Wayne... the man was getting destroyed, and chances are that he would have suffered his 1st KD or maybe KO if the fight went into rds 11 & 12.... if you're truly a McCullough fan, you should be happy that the fight was stopped when it was, shoot I thought they were 1 round too late, and I'm the Pocket Rocket's biggest fan (got his autograph at the Mayorga-Forrest II weigh-in).... seriously, be happy about the stoppage :) to add to the list though, I've never seen JLC go down from a clean shot True man, i know where ur comin from, but just seeing him plead to continue I think a matter of pride he shoulda been able to go. I think a lot of people wonder about that fight because it was such a strange performance by me. BASICALLY, it came during a time in my career that I wanted out of boxing and in my mind I was all but retired at that point. Making weight was miserable etc. I Never got dropped or even stung in that fight, the ref stopped it in the 7th basically because I was not punching back. and he knew me since I was a kid and knew something wasnt right. Toney was hit in the center of the ring by a Reggie Johnson left. He was hit, & the punch took his legs out from under him. He wasn't close to being seriously hurt, but it was a completely legit, no-doubt-about-it knockdown. i ve read toney sometimes was KD in sparring , by big guys .
