as a massive barrera fan i am a little dissapointed by whats goin on with him now that hes at golden boy promotions, dont get me wrong barrera is my favourite boxer of all time and i like him better than morales and any other boxer, but he himself has said he has 5 or 6 fights left in him, so hopefully after peden, within these 6 fights he will fight pacquiao and/or marquez to cement his already excellent legacy. he already is a legend and hall of fame fighter but he has one more career defining fight left in him in my opinion and that fight is with manny pacquiao. barrera said there was so many disractions leading up to the fight, so to make people believe that the distractions affected him that night against pacquiao, barrera needs to get in the ring with him before he retires. im just hopeful that by the end of 2006, barrera will agree to fight pacquiao. in my opinion, barrera needs this fight more than pacquiao needs this fight. pacmans already beaten barrera so he does not need the fight, barrera needs to get in that ring and try to avenge that defeat before he gets too old to do it. if barrera never fights pacquiao again, then as a massive barrera fan it would pain me to say it and type it, but i would then think that barrera is scared of him, or he thinks he just cant beat him, i hope i never have to say this though because im hopeful he will get in the ring with him again.

The man has earned his respect and will fight and beat pacman when the time is right for him, not u. Pacman just lost to the man that barrera beat, so he doesn't deserve a shot. maybe pacman should get a vctory first then challage Barrera. i don't see anything wrong with taking a soft fight pac and morales are doing it but they are doing it to set up their re-match ..barrera allready fought fana he could of atleast fought barrios or set up a match with marquez but it does not seem like he wants to step up ....as far as pac vs. barrera, pac does not need to challenge barrera pac allready beat him.. barrera needs the re-match not pac .. pac fought a close fight with morales and they are going to re-match his popularity is real high right now and his getting the big fights..remember pac also offered marquez a re-match and he turned it down and look what happened to him now he can't get a fight with anyone ..
