what are your opinions regarding the style of this fight? do you think that it is going to take off where it left off or corrales is going to change his strategy and actually fight from the outside? will castillo be able to adapt to that?
in addition, you dont need to be dominatd to lose fights. emmanuel augustus wasnt dominated by floyd mayweather but he lost the fight.
what happened by the end of that fight though???
augusus's corner jumped into the ring to plead the ref to stop the fight...by the end of the fight it was domination...
anyways, if corrales fights from the outside he will win, as he showed in the first minute of every round in the last fight. i also believe that if he fights on the inside, he will ko castillo, he is just so powerful. the only way castillo wins is by tko
He never quit against Floyd but lost every round and wasnt knocked down 5 times. What it went to the 9th round? He was essentially down 14 points in my book. Blow out!
The Freitas fight was a very close at the time of the stoppage. Casamayor got lucky that the doctor stopped the fight. I think Corrales was gonna come back & knock him out in that fight. He out boxed him in the rematch. I don't think Chico has a glass jaw, I think he has glass legs. Even the PBF fight he was pissed that his corner stopped the fight after he went down 5 times, he still wanted to fight. The guy never quits & he has one of the biggest hearts I ever seen. You don't have to have a great chin to have a great heart.
The only guy that dominated him was PBF. No one else dominated him, so I don't know what you talking about. Yes he's been down many times, but he has never out. The guy has a great heart & P4P he's the hardest puncher today.

i like corrales too but people talk of him like he has no flaws. he has a big flaw. hes losing a point everytime he goes down in a fight and was losing to freitas (whose made a career off limited opposition). corrales power saved the day for him against freitas and casamayor beat him the first time.
you know when that midget casamayor knocks you down, somethings suspect with your chin.
corrales is prob the most overrated fighter. i admit he's good. but how many times has he gone down against good fighters? glass jaw.
people fail to take into account how he does against boxers and totally ignore his glass jaw.
and people that have any boxing skill blow him out... (casamayor, freitas before he got tired of running and punching, mayweather).
its going to be basically the same, it is very tough to outbox castillo ask mayweather, corrales is banking on that left hook that he kept catching castillo with in a latter rounds
Both have said they are coming to fight so I expect them to fight in the same manner.
Really I hope Corrales does come to try and box from the outside just so Castillo can prove everybody wrong about Corrales being able to have an easy time.
People fail to realize that the few seconds Corrales fought from the outside he wasn't very effective at landing shots. Most of the punches were being picked off by Castillo's gloves. They also fail to realize that at the distance Castillo started jabbing and his jab appeared to be better than Corrales' jab. People act as if all Corrales has to do is jab from the outside but he would have to keep that jab pumping every second of every round in order to be truely effective. All Castillo needs is a split second and he will be inside banging Corrales body and shooting those uppercuts.
If Corrales comes and fights from the outside I give it two or three rounds tops before Castillo warms up and gets inside and they got to war.
I think Corrales will start off boxing from the outside. He doesn't have to prove that he can slug with Castillo anymore. If Corrales sticks to the outside, I see Castillo in for a very long night.
I think it will all depend where their mental state is at... if Castillo and Corrales are the same mentally as they were in the first fight then i think Castillo will be able to adapt better on the rematch.
However if either of them isnt at their mental best they will be brutally KOed within 6 rounds.
Oh yeah Corrales naturally taller stature really helped him on the inside he was able to keep Castillo from hunching down to normal and work.
If Corrales boxes from the outside he goes out like Julio Diaz.
