I ordered the Mercer/briggs PPV, and after two fights i'm happy, the first fight was reaaly good, this little guy built and fights like Tyson KO'd Andre Eason, Then McCline KO'd his guy in 3 rounds in a good fight, so far a pretty good card.

I agree was not real excited about it but it turned out to be a pretty good card due to all the KOs mostly but nonetheless it was o.k and that Little Guy built like Tyson ,Juan Urango looks to be a pretty bad ass motherfucker if he can sharpen his skillz.
glad it was worth your money. :) I think we all expected it to suck badly.
I recorded the replay for you, but the storm knocked out the satellite signal in the Urango fight...

How bad was Eason Ko'd?
Eason was destroyed, frankly. Three knockdowns. The last one hurt just to watch the replay...
I put up a "this ppv was good" thread because I didn't see this thread earlier. glad to see that some people ordered the card and weren't disappointed.
The card was good
As The Great1 said Urango has the Tyson look about him, Eason was doing good landing the upercut when his corner told him to, then hot got caught good on his 3rd knock down, he protested his previous 2 knockdowns, not for sure why.
Big Time believe it or not was staggered by pannel at one point, pannel tried to make it interesting but for the most part seemed to try to rush him and tackle him or something.
Rothman, WTF? He was punishing bell with the jab, every time he landed it bell's head was going back. Sean O'grady mentioned that Rothman's eyes were messed up during the fight and someone was doing it to him, bell was landin alot of uper cuts in close but they didnt seem to have the zip on them. Then the frwaking 11th round. It was TheGreat1's turn to get up and scram this time, Rothman fell first on his arm, you could see his Right glove between his legs as he was lying on the canvass. Just an awesom pull it back from the brink combo by bell at the end. I didnt agree much with the judges cards, but Bell made it not matter.
Mercer, I still love watching him box, but this will sound silly, his age probably hurts him because he is a little heavyweight. Compaired to some of these monsters, Ray at 237 seems small. He still had the zip though, the Jab and the right hand were landing, and when Briggs would tee off, Ray would just talk back to him. The ending totaly sucked, not just because Briggs had Ray over the ropes with his left around his neck and he landed 3 shots to teh side of head, but it didn't look to me like the shot was enough to put Ray out. Ray wants a rematch, briggs says ok, but I doubt it. I still will watch Ray box, maybe he gets the winner of a fifth fight between Butter Bean and Kenny Craven.
Briggs did look good, and The Great 1 said at 33 he still has a chance at making some noise in the division. He looked in great shape, and he looked like he was having fun boxing, throwing some foot feints and taking it to Ray early. And weather its BS or not, I liked the way he spoke and handled himself at the end of the fight.
All in all awesome, the PPV could have been less but thats the price to pay to be a boxing fan.
How bad was Eason Ko'd?
it was pretty nasty, eason was in the middle of a flury, than this guy hits him with 1 shot and he went to sleep. This was a very fun fight card, 4 fight 4 KO's all 4 in pretty dramatic fashion
holy shit, i didnt think that briggs carried the pop to KO an iron tough badass like mercer.
looks like briggs might be back in the game.
oh please. are you serious? mercer is a shot 44 yr old that was destroyed 4 yrs ago by wlad. his steel chin days have been over for a long time. briggs knocked him out with illegal rabbit punches to the back of the head in what was a very close fight until that point. if that was a top 10 fighter with any power briggs would have been in serious trouble
if briggs can stay in shape he would be a force in the heavyweight division
I disagree. I thought he looked awful. hes easier to hit then he is to miss. he leaves himself wide open
if briggs can stay in shape he would be a force in the heavyweight division
Yeah the thing is his jaw is made of glass that is finer than Lennox Lewis and Wladimir Klitschkos....
I still think highly of Briggs especially at the age of 33 but I mean we have some "decent" rising stars who would wipe his ass out in 6. So as he was going to the top he would be brought right back down again...Damn shame because he adds a nice blend to the division.
rd 7 briggs put mercer in a headlock hits him 3 time on the top of the head and ko's mercer, i don't know how the ref let that happen but it did, this is crazy
that was clearly a foul and the ref and the announcers didnt even acknowldge it. what a pathetic happening

ppv
this is the first time ive actually had to rely on a round-by-round coverage, cause this is the first card i havent got in since got in to boxing besides morales-ayala which was damn stupid of me not to get, i still dont know why i didnt get that but anyway
