I didn't read any of the comments made on this thread yet, I just read the original post so don't jump on me if I say something that was said already. ----------------------------------------------------------- Alright....the belts are meaningless! If it plays out like this and Zab loses and Floyd moves back down to compete at 140lbs. doesn't Margarito become the man in the division? Theirs still Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Tsyzu, Cotto, but I would agree, Margarito would be on top followed by Castillo and Corrales, What do others think?

I don't think so. PBF will beat Margarito in his sleep. Why would PBF move up for Margarito, no one knows Margarito, that fight will not sell & it will not be a PPV fight. Dude, are you drunk or something. Everyone who has seen him knows he has a style similar to JL Castillo except he is bigger, more powerful, and even more relentless. You act like mayweather is the biggest PPV seller of all time all of a sudden, he's not he's headlined one PPV card. Watch a couple of margarito fights and you'll see how exciting a fighter he is and how good a fight he would make against mayweather.

I'd rather see either of these two guys get in their with my boy antonio margarito, he'll fight cheap and i really believe he has the chance to be great, seeing how he ws able to hurt and brawl with 170 pound daniel santos makes me think these guys can't stop him. Someone who takes a fight for a 70-30 purse which i belive it is? against who many believe to be the best pound for pound in the world right now is a really good deal IMO. The only thing that Mayweather could use as an excuse is the belts issue, but look at the things he has demanded. He cant have it all his way. Now you cant have more money and the titles and the venue nd the weight all down to one person. Its understandable that these guys want to fight eachother for big money and create a buzz for this fight. The bottom line is that they dont want to fight Margarito, hes too tought for them. Way too much risk, not enough money.

I totally agree but 8 million talks....Everyone knows Zab is champ at 147 and if Floyd defeats him Zab would still have the belts but Floyd would be the recognized champ...Look at the Lt. Heavy division. I would strip the belts from Zab and have the #1 and #2 contenders fight for the belt. If Zab doesn't respect the belts, kick him to the kerb. If the belts mean nothing, then boxing is really going into the toilet. I don't see much incentive for PBF to take this fight at 148. He isn't the real champion at 140 lbs., Hatton is, and he won't be at 147 or 154 after a fight with Zab at 148. Of course it's about the money, but guys with huge egos also want a legacy.
