Power: Byrd or Lacy??

its hard to tell when one guy punches with power and the other doesnt even try and use it byrd is an arm puncher and pulls punches back before they can full commit mainly because he cant match power with true heavyweights but if he wwas a supermiddle i would think he would commit more lacy uses his power and punches with it theres a difference whos stronger i dont know i would assume lacy since he works on it and byrd works on footwork and technique

Byrd isn't that bad. He would beat the other belt holders. I'm not a huge fan of his, but I still kind of like him. The only thing that keeps him from being more dominate is his lack of power. More dominant? Cmon man...Byrd himself shrugged his shoulders in defeat against Oquendo only to be given a gift for being a life long born again and he then not to long after that followed that shit performance up with a breathtaking bullshit decision against Golota and then he comes back and shocks the world picking his ass up off the canvas to squeak by Big Tim McCline. First off he is not the most talented HW in the division, that honor without a fucking doubt goes to James Toney, no one has the skill Toney has period! You talk about great defense, quick hands and all that fun stuff but you are talking about a Byrd we have not seen in a while, Byrd like many other fighters in the division is not the same as he once was. He is no longer hard to hit or as hard to hit and his hand speed has been a problem for no one in recent memory. Sure his Tua victory was nice but I will say that Tua was shot, Tua was never the same after his war with Ike, he never ever ever let his hands go again like he did in that fight-watch Tua post Ike he was gun shy every time out after the president and he may have won that fight too. Byrd was once a pretty skillful guy, he was still a shithead but he was skillfull...he has lost many steps since those days and that is exactly why any reasonable person can make the case that he is 0-3 in his last 3 fights. Fuck off Chris Byrd, fuck off and get out of an already shitty division before you make it worse...fuck that you have already got your hand in making it as shitty as it is so just go fuck off. i dont see why people discredit chris byrd. im not a fan, but he is the most talented heavyweight. he fights like a middlewight, has quick hands, great defence. he is the type of boxer who, with his skills would do well in most eras. now obviously with the heavyweights talent aint everything, he doesnt have the power, but with his ring generalship he nulifies his opponents strength, like he did against tua. I have mixed feelings about Byrd. Right now I kind of like him, after coming off of a two year hatred for him. I like his speed and skill, but he has no power for a HW. He made a good showing in the Jameel McCline fight, showing that he has a good heart. In the Ike Iabeachi (how ever you spell it) I thought the fight was stopped pre-maturely. Yes he got drilled by some good shots but he got back up and was ready to fight, another good showing of heart.

Please do not laugh at me. LOL I am serious with this question - I know Chris Byrd is about 40 lbs. heavier than Jeff Lacy. Who hits harder? If Chris Byrd actually planted his feet and punched with a closed fist we could really see if he has power or not. All he does is throw slapping punches just to score.
