Based on the free chat with Mayweather on another site the fight with Zab is not signed because Zab wants 50/50 and Floyd thinks he deserves way more than that because he is the superstar that America wants to see...Winky isn't happening either because Winky wants too much as well...and evidently HAtton has turned Mayweather down three times..so the superfight may not happen...d'oh!!!! MAyweather is good but he may be overestimating the value of his stock...he is not exactly a household name...big fights are what make big names so Floyd should consider what these fights would do for his legacy rather than whether he can get an extra million or two...I know boxing is a dangerous sport and it is one of the few I think that athletes deserve astronomical pay for but niggling over a little extra money...sure it is a respect thing but it seems like Floyd is kinda being a bitch about the whole thing...
People on boxingscene feed into speculations about a fight happening too quickly and feed into speculations that a fight is a off too quickly.
Example:
WEEK A
"CASTILLO'S PEOPLE ARE TALKING TO HATTON'S PEOPLE ABOUT A POSSIBLE MATCHUP, OMG! THIS FIGHT HAS SUPER FIGHT WRITTEN ALL OVER IT! OMG! MY DICK IS SO HARD, WTF! I WANNA SEE THIS FIGHT!"
WEEK B
"This just in, Castillo's people and Hatton's people have disagreements about where to stage the fight.......I was such a fucking fool to think this fight would happen. I'm such a dumb bitch, I should have known they wouldn't make Castillo and Hatton fight, not in a million years. I'm so dumb."
This fight will happen, 90% sure. Floyd was probably playing politics in the chat. Thing is that there's a big difference between leaking some news to a boxing website and answering a question point-blank. When negotiations are on no guy is going to compromise his position by giving too much away about what's going on. They'll both be talking shit about the other's demands until they sign the contract, like what always happens.
i can see where all this going...........pbf and cotto will move up hatton will clear up the division, everyone will call him a bum for not moving up when in reality everyone else seems to be ducking him.

Interesting Mayweather Negotiation Talks
After the Wright negotiations fell apart, Arum had pushed for Mayweather to fight WBO welterweight titlist Antonio Margarito.
"They don't want to fight him," Arum said. And why not? "I don't know."
Perhaps they look at Margarito as a bigger, stronger version of Jose Luis Castillo, who gave Mayweather all he could handle for 24 rounds in 2002. "Maybe," said Arum. "You figure it out, but the decision not to fight Margarito is based on a boxing decision."
But not a financial one?
"No, because he makes more from fighting Margarito than from any of those other guys because Margarito doesn't get as much," Arum explained.
As far as a timetable for a Mayweather-Judah bout being consummated, Arum said, "Hopefully, we'll get it done this week."
There is hope, great! Oh and if PBF does step up to 147 (same place Cotto is heading too) I doubt 140 would be considered the best weight class anylonger.

He is the best at 140. He is linear Champ. Floyd Mayweather has the p4p credentials but Hatton is champ at what is considered by many as the best division in boxing. In my mind Hatton and Mayweather are clearly the best between 140 and 147. I think Hatton would probably like to milk his win for a while though against fighters like Maussa though before taking a big chance vs Mayweather. He might be made to look bad if that fight happens. Hatton does however kind of have the perfect style for Mayweather so the fight would be a big risk to both fighters.
You are right in saying styles do make fights. Hatton's style will get him KO'ed by PBF. It would be Arturo Gatti 2. I don't think Hatton has the speed to give PBF any competition.
Judah's speed is on par with PBF and I think he has more power. Point being is that it will be a bigger PPV event, more money and more people watching if he fights Zab over Hatton.
Both want money. Both want Fame. If they want to be considered the best, they need to fight each other.
It sounds like Hatton is ducking him anyways for now. If he wants PBF, add 7 lbs and he should step up.
I never said Hatton wasn't the champ, I said he isn't the best.

And since I dont think Hatton vs Mayweather will anytime soon. I would not mind seeing Judah vs Mayweather or Judah vs Corrales or Castillo. Or a Mayweather rematch vs Corrales or Castillo.
Maybe he was old but it does not change the fact he was still linear champ and coming off an early KO win vs Sharamba Mitchell.

Beating an old Zoo doesn't make you the best at 140-147. Wrestling Zoo into submission doesn't make you the best.
Weren't you banned?

That is kinda of ridiculous. Kostya Tzyu knocked out Judah, Then Hatton stopped Tzyu. So the 2 top guys at 140-147 are clearly Hatton and Mayweather. Judah also lost to Spinks. I dont Judah vs Mayweather would be a horrible fight if Hatton vs Mayweather cant be arranged. But I myself and alot of other people want to find out who is the best. And to find that out Hatton and Mayweather have to fight each other.
Judah was knocked out in what 01? Zoo was not the same fighter when he fought Hatton in 05. As far as losing to Spinks that is debateable. He also came back and knocked him out pretty easily.

Although Hatton seems like a nice guy out of the ring, I think he is overrated and I think he would be stopped pretty easily by Zudah or PBF. PBF will probably make him look stupid. No I am not a PBF lover either, I just call it how I see it.
Weren't you banned?
I disagree with you a little on the point of him fighting Hatton. IMO PBF would get a lot more respect stepping up and fighting Zudah rather than fighting Hatton. I think Hatton would be a snack for him and would prefer to see him fight someone that will actually stand a chance of beating him. Personally I think Hatton got lucky and will probably be mopped by the first top 5 guy he fights, espically if it is in the U.S. where they won't let that WWE stuff happen.

If Mayweather is serious about creating a true legacy and going down in history as one of the greats, he HAS to fight Hatton at 140lbs or at least someone in the top 5 at 140lbs.
He's in possibly the hottest division in boxing at the moment and he won't fight a top 5 contender?
I think it'll be a big mistake for him to go up to 147lbs and fight Judah... Because in the future people will probably look back on his career the same way they look at RJJ's... Moved out of dangerous weight divisions to avoid dangerous fighters.
Mayweather is in a fantastic position at the moment to become a great... I just hope he doesn't screw it up.
sorry to be totally random, but yes, that knockout is amazing...i can watch it over and over...the best part is how he lies spread eagle on the canvas, and the pick from above is just awesome...do u know where i can see rahman's ko of lewis?

did any of you really believe this fight was happening?
Not I ,Mayweather always finds a way to end up not fighting, it wouldve been a great fight if it was really gonna happen but it will never, most likely
