but you have to remember that this is not the golden boy of the past. he is older now, and slower. also, in vargas's pov, a loss to dlh looks better than a loss to mayorga, and plus he gets more money...i hate to reiterate, but many of the posters are right, its a win win situation Ya lets put it this way to people. The pay days IF he fought oscar= 10 million dollars. If he fought Mayorga= 1 mill or maybe 1.5 million Which would you choose?

Last I heard, he said something along the lines of "I hope Vargas wins so I can knock him out and retire him for good." Now I'm not the biggest of Vargas fans but I would like to see him KTFO of Mayo. I know a lot of you guys wont agree with me, but I am going to go out on a limb and say that Vargas will win by TKO if, IF this fight gets signed. It would be nice to see the winner fight ODLH, but I think ODLH would be looking for the biggest fight he can since he is saying that his next fight will be his last. If vargas wins mayo it surely wont be by ko, TKO maybe on cuts, but his only way for sure to win mayo is to try to out box him. Now if this was vargas at age 22 years old! this fight would be like hagler vs hearns wouldnt even go past 4 rounds.

No way Vargas gets to make demands or even suggestions. The guy is virtually washed up and will be lucky to win against Mayorga.
