People are forgetting about the undercard of Castillo-Corrales
Arce-Hussein II
Pacquiao-Hernandez
Chavez-BUM
That entire card is a big, fat, wet dream!!!!!
I will be at Tarver-Jones and will watch Castillo-Corrales without a doubt , but if I had to pick definetely castillo Corrales.A hooker sounds fun too maybe while watching one of the fights?? No?
A hooker just gets in the way, no? If Castillo-Corrales 2 is half as action packed as the first, what die hard boxing fan has time for a hooker?? Man, thats for after the fight! :D
I'll never understand why people think Castillo can be easily outboxed. He easilly beat the most skillful boxer on the planet in Mayweather in thier first fight. He is not nearly as easy to hit as people think.
Outworking boxers is Castillo's specially.
You need to ask yourself WHY Corrales went at Castillo & brawled in the first fight.
It's because they knew that if they stayed on the outside trying to box, Castillo would do what he always does, ware him down & knock him out. So Chico went with the strategy to try & stop Castillo finishing all over the top of him like he has done to so many other opponents. Chico got inside & punished JLC's body in the hopes that he couldn't finish as strong as usual.
Corrales fought a game & admirable fight, but he also got the crap beaten out of him. And although he was able to pull a miricle from out of his ass to win, he had to cheat to survive (Not taking anything away from him, but it's a fact) and was well on his way to losing if not for the extra time with the mouthpiece.
Also in the months since the first fight, It's become clear that Chico is not nearly as willing to get back into the ring and brawl with Castillo as Castillo is with him.
Seeing Corrales come out & box in the rematch will already be a mental victory for Castillo. No one will keep JCL outside all night, he will be inside & he will ware you down. With Corrales boxing, I invision JCL just doing his thing & while it still could go either way, I see Castillo stopping Chico this time around.
Great post...
Corrales can do like he did Casamayor, only brawl more. We already saw who wins when they brawl. Why make it harder on himself and risk having his eyes well up again when he can outpoint Castillo a while before knocking his head off again. It's been proven that jabs set up knockouts, and Corrales has a good jab when he uses it.
Gatti, Lewis, and Vernon Forrest are great examples of fighters who fought behind a great jab, before knocking their opponents out. Corrales is no different, and he has JOE GOOSEN telling him how to do it!

He'll fight Castillo like he did Freitas.Unless Corrales signed a contract saying he is going to brawl with Castillo i don't believe it.And if he does brawl w/Castillo he is dumb for doing it.
Yeah, last time he did everything Castillo needed him to do and he STILL won. He outbrawled the guy that was supposedly unknockoutable. Corrales easily outboxes him in a rematch
I'd rather get a hooker but not a cheap $50 hoe, so i'd have to take Castillo vs Corrales II, i cant imagine Tarver vs Jones being better.
The good thing for me is that $50's would buy 2 PPV's in the UK, i could watch them both!! :)
You're a huge Roy fan now that he loses? You said yourself you only got into boxing like a year ago, so how can you be a "huge" fan of anybody? Roy is finished. You jumped on the bandwagon waaaaaaay too late
Who wants to watch that trash anyway?
I do. Jones/Tarver will have more buys based on name alone even though Coralles/Castillo will be more exciting. I wouldn't call Jones/Tarver trash. The DKP PPVs are trash. The Barrera PPV is trash.

you should of said PPV in the poll, people are missing the post itself..
when you talk about which of the two CARDS i'd get if only one, oh, it'd easily be the Castillo Corrales card, we get not one but two classic rematches, plus the other two should be good as well. Man, i love these threads, they always get me more pumped for the fights. :boxing:
Listen I am a huge RJ fan and since hes lost I have been waiting for this fight. Theres no way I am missing Roy's last fight...

Both fights offer different types of drama.
You have Castillo-Corrales,which is sure to be another blood and guts battle, and you have Jones-Tarver,which is a fight where you wonder if Jones has atleast one great fight in him or is Tarver just gonna take him out like he did in the 2nd fight.
I say it's even,but being a hardcore fan of the sports,it's gotta be Castillo-Corrales.
When have you ever seen Corrales outbox a brawler??
Corrales even said he's going to brawl him..

While Tarver-Jones III has intrigue...Corrales-Castillo has the
action.
Tarver-Jones has the potential to be a blowout- Roy may not be able to take ANY Tarver punch.
I don't see Castillo or Corrales having that problem.
I think Corrales will stay on the outside and use his boxing skills.Corrales by ud. :boxing:

Me too. Not to demean Coralles in any way, but I think he's really overated? He's just a rough and tough banger. Anyone else agree?
But, he keeps beating (or hanging even) with the best.
Just because you don't box doesn't mean you can't be special.
aside from that....He's not just a rough & tough banger. He is the sport's best puncher, & puts his powerful combos together beautifully. An ordinary banger can't do what he does.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Castillo will take care of it second time around! Just hope like hell Tony Weeks isnt officiating again.
