Winky says 50/50 purse to Floyd or No fight

Yeah, I know this is a "dream fantasy fight, but why??? Why would Mayweather risk getting his chin handed to him by a bigger, and similarly skilled fighter?? It is a mega fight, I know, and the money is great, but why??? Don't get hurt trying to be greedy. Not saying that he is afraid, or that he wouldn't stand a chance...just why? (I know that no one asked me but..) I personally don't want to see this fight.

oscar has a better change at beating winky then the midget floyd mayweather...this fight is a joke..i like floyd mayweather and really dont wanna see him with a blimish on his record for fighting a guy who could make 168 and he could make 135

How is 50/50 fair? It sounds like basically you guys feel that all things are equal but Winky is still 15 to 20 pounds bigger then Floyd and he doesnt want to weighin twice. I think 60/40 is fair but Floyd is doing even better by giving him 55/45. There is no other fight in boxing that a guy would move up that far and get equal money unless you were moving up to face a guy like Oscar or Tito.

Winky had a masterful performance against Tito, probably won all 12 rounds, but he did nothing to make the average fan drop $50 to see him again. Most everybody bought the fight to see Tito, and if Winky fights Mayweather, it's Mayweather that will bring the most PPV buys. i most definitly agree

50/50 fair as hell IMO.

As popular as a fighter can be, he can seldomly bring in enough fans for a PPV to make it worthwhile. Which is why if the fight is hyped properly it will be the fight which will be at the center of attention, rather than the boxers personalities. I'm not saying this is always the case, but in some circumstances I feel it would work... this being one of those times. I think 50/50 is fair, but I think winky could still go 40/60 to PBF and he should still get good money. Meh.

winky deserves the money man..... he has TONS of fanbase... and also for those ppl who said he shouldv'e fought DLH. who said that the offer was made. golden boy promotions, no shit.... i asked winky personally about this, and he said no offer was made, if there was, he would've taken it n beat DLH.

I'd pay to see it, which is more than I can say about a lot of fights recently and comming up. i dis-agree floyd made his fight exciting he was throwing quick lightning combos landing alot and was trying to and did stop gatti which makes him a more exciting fighter to the average fan ...winky beat a big name but he did not open up at all he did was jab did not try anything to even stop tito to the average fan this fight was boaring which make winky seem like a boring fighter ..floyd is the bigger draw because of this ..i said avarage fan because i think they make up a large # of ppv buyers although i don't have any stats on this .

i understand, im just tired of EVERYONE complaining about Winky Wright. The man is an absolute talent and should be paid as such. On a skill level, Winky and Floyd should be paid 50/50. It'd be a slap in the face otherwise. i agree that winky has great talent and is a masterfull boxer but even if the split was based on skill level floyd should still get more he has better skills than winky....also you have to remember that boxing is a buisness 1st. winky can have all the skill in the world but he is not the draw he is not going to get people to shell out the 50 $ on the ppv floyd is , floyd is not that big of a draw himself but his win over gatti has helped him alot as far as the fans so if this fight happens pbf has to get the bigger split ..

Guys Winky beat up Trinidad and Mosley. One is washed up and the other has problems with guys that move and came out of retirement, I think Tito beats him ealrier in his career. Thats all he beat No one else. Look at his record who has he Faught besides these two men. I think he is making a huge mistake. He should take any and all money offered to him.

If PBF wins, suddenly Winky is a bum. I'd say it's a fair offer. No way dude. A loss is a loss. Ofcourse it wont hurt Floyd as much but a loss would still be huge for him. He is undefeated. If he lost that fight then no one would look at him the same. If he tried to come back and fight someone like Zab or Margariton next then no one would probally even pick him. This is stupid about Winky. Is he taking a big risk if he fights Chico? What about if he fights Morales? How can it be a bigger risk against a guy who you should kill. Would Tarver be taking a risk if he fought Winky at 175? No. Floyd deserves more money

What are you guys talking about? Think about this. Tell Winky to jump straight up to 175 to fight Tarver. Do you think Tarver should get a 50/50 split? No way. Fights would never happened then. He's not Oscar so he cant get that much money when a guy is moving so far up

I made a thread about this a couple of weeks ago. Winky is a clown. Floyd should probally really be at 135 and he's going to move up to fight a guy who just fought at 160 and is the #2 rated fighter in the world for 50/50? Is he crazy? Why would Floyd do that when he's taking the risk. Winky can try to spin it all he wants like he's taking the risk but thats bullshit. If a littile kid wanted to fight you now. Ofcourse if you lost everyone would dog you but you should kill this kid so how is it more of a risk for you? That is easy money. Mostly everyone is picking him and he himself thinks its a joke fight. He always laughs it off and says Ill beat up on lil Floyd for big money. He is insane if he thinks he can get a 50/50 split. Winky has good arguments here, he does have NOTHING to gain, EVERYTHING to lose, and his more recent high profile wins are bigger in the eyes of Joe Boxing Fan than PBF's. Mosley x2, Tito vs. Gatti, Corley (in the last 2 years)

also, it's pretty boy that really wants this fight in the first place, not the other way around.

Winky has some fans, ecspecially in the sports world...One thing I can continue to learn is almost every fighter has some fans.
