No , No , No not yet besides they are Buddies and unless it was for shit loads of $$$$$ I don't think neither would do it.Now Taylor and Lacy should fight someday for sure and lacy would KO him just like B-hop is gonna Dec 3!!!
Lacy would beat Taylor and when they do fight, which they will Lacy will beat Taylor. Against Tarver, once he unifies all titles at 168 he will have the confidence and expierience to challenge Tarver and beat Tarver that is if Tarver doesent retire after Jones has his vindication.
good post MJ, I likle Lacy, he my home town fighter, but he should stay away from Tarver, and even Taylor, he needs more experience before going after them, he should unify the titles at 168, wait for Tarver to retire, then unify at LTHEAVY
Seeing as though we had this post last night...
From 8/6/05:
Whoa, don't go jumping the gun. I know this is just fantasy, but the kid really just started and does not really belong in the Light Heavyweight division. Allow him to "conquer" the Super Middleweights first, then let him "reign" a bit, and then you may think about this kid stepping up. That's a whole 'nother level. Let the kid enjoy himself first before you throw him to the "wolves."
He is a "Super Middleweight," and aspires to be the Undisputed Champion at "168 lbs...explain to me again why he won't make the at the division that he wants to "conquer???"
You don't think he would want fight Mikkel Kessler(who is also undefeated) or Markus Beyer??? He could go after those two belts, WBA & WBC respectively. I think he should go ahead and unify the titles while he has a chance. Then maybe we can talk about moving up. I see at least 3 more fights for Lacy in the Super Middleweight division.
I can not just overlook these guys, especially since one of them is undefeated. I think Jeff will want to "conquer" this division. He is a "fighter's fighter," and he knows that the money will come. Maybe I am just "old school, but unification is still of some importance in this day and age. He currently holds the IBF and (lightly regarded) IBO. If he beats Calzaghe, that gives him the WBO...O.K., granted he will be the undisputed Super Middleweight Champ, but the WBC and WBA titles are highly regarded, and I think the kid wants those to add to his collection(Ring Magazine belt not withstanding). Like I said, he should think about unifying while he still can.
Oh, and no, he shouldn't face Taylor.
