Boxrec is reporting it is on for Cleveland yet Showtime doesnt have that fight listed. I thought at the Mayorga conference they announced it. I am pumped if this fight actually happens in Cleveland, I am a hop jump and a skip away from there.
Anyone have a further update? I am guessing the fight isnt going to happen since Sho notes otherwise.....
Plus Big Truck Braithwaite has been added to that card....I am a bit excited especially when I found out the ticket prices. Which is good because there are more broke asses in Cleveland then their is upper class. I want to go now bit still think it is a lackluster card. However, I will have to sit back and watch it on the silver screen as I just started a new job and I go back to school the same week. Damn these things and damn them all to hell.
Truth-Thats the thing that tarnishes the sport.
Thats also what makes the sport unpredictable and exciting...
I just read on fightnews you can sit ringside for 100 bucks. At a Don King card. That's a steal...

Yes but it will get you in to see Cotto fight and always an opportunity to move closer. :D Decent seats were being sold for less than 50 bucks.
Spinks vs Judah II was handled perfectly by King.
I am a bit shitty when it comes to attending live fights, I go to alot of local ones to check out the upcoming talent. Hell I seen Taylor/Winky/Tarver come through my area and never spent more than $100 combined to see them. :)
I think it is robbery in some cases...The biggest one that comes to mind is Hopkins vs DLH $1,600 for a ticket is f'n ridiculous and the undercard even sucked.
One thing about boxing is...nothing is guarenteed.
$250 without Judah is robbery...I hate boxing because of this. Ticket prices are so high and if they are cheap they are some crappy ass seats. Boxing should be taken a step forward to make it available to the blue collar people.
Hell Cotto vs Abdullaev tickets started out at $4.50 which is where it should be :)
Promoters are to damn greedy!

You guys should be proud of Brewster seriously lol.
In my state I believe the biggest would be Christy Martin haha....She is originally from West Virginia. But we adopted Paul Spadafora because a lot of his fights were in WV and Pittsburgh which is right across the river.
Brewster had some sort of official title at this year's Indianapolis 500. Reggie Miller was the "grand marshal" I believe; I don't know what exactly Lamon got to boast. I'm not a racing guy
Yeah, Galvan was the most recent opponent.
I've spent a lot of time at Boxrec lately; I haven't seen any of these guys live, but I notice they're on a lot of the same cards and some have fought each other.
Hey, at least we've got Lamon Brewster. Kind of. Brewster lives in Los Angeles now; but he was a Hoosier when it came time to hype the Golota fight...

Galvan was the guy he last fought right? I believe he came out to Marilyn Manson?
That guy was pretty tough, I thought he was going to pull the rug under from Chavez jr. feet.

I don't think this bunch is changing anyone's mind. Galvan was a tough guy, not real skilled. The other guys were bums.

Easy territory :D Nobody takes the midwest boxers serious anymore.

Yeah, I meant the guys he's fighting lately all seem to be from here and fight here.
Ruben Galvan, Adam Wynant, Ryan Maraldo, Leroy Newton, Jason Smith...

Chavez jr would be interesting to see but it seems for the most part though he is getting on every single card that is on ppv. So who knows if he will be small time anymore....He is being promoted pretty good.

I'm hoping that Ticketmaster's venue page will have events posted in a timely manner and will handle a lot of the smaller fights.
I've only been to 3 fights - will be 4 next month - all major cards.
I know the Farm Bureau Building and Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis have shows a couple times a year. Pepsi Coliseum, I believe has one small ringside section and some bleachers. But ringside at their last event (which I only knew was coming a day or two in advance) was like 35 bucks and I think you could get in for like 15. Riehle Brothers in Lafayette had a deal where 50 bucks would get you reserved seats and a buffet, but it was the same night as a major fight so I didn't go.
Cliff Etienne fought there at Riehle brothers and Reggie Strickland is liable to be at any Indiana event...
JC Chavez Jr. seems to be pulling his opponents from this area as well

Damn, $4.50 will barely get you a hot dog once you get in!
I'd pay 250 ringside for this one if it was a little closer and not so soon after the Aug. 20 fight I'm going to.

I don't think that this fight has "officially" been announced yet without Judah on the card but ringside tickets should be at most $250. Mormeck vs Braithwaite was a unification match and are bigger names. Shoot...before the Gatti fight, you could get ringside seats to a Mayweather fight for $250 so this card should go no higher than that.
Ahh I will have to pull it out and watch it sometime. But that is great haha, I dont know how you could get hyped up with a song like that....I guess he didnt because he was beaten from pillar to post like a tin can.
Sam Soliman came out to "You're the Best" from the Karate Kid last week...
Everyone has different strategy, I guess...
Beck is a game fighter; I've only seen Liakhovich once. I don't know who would be favored.
I don't know if you could hear it on TV...
