Tarver vs Jones - Calzaghe vs Lacy

this fight ever happens ill piss my pants.:D 2 things, 1.I dont know who to go for and B. there is gonna be an explosion!!! Ditto that! Well, I think... even though I am an American thru and thru and rarely ever root for a fighter across the pond I love Joe's fighting style and have been talking him up since I was 3, yet he has made me look bad forever because of the lack of big fights. I will root for Calzaghe, he is as talented a white fighter as I have ever seen, power, chin hand speed..and shit the guy loves to brawl, let me say that again loves to brawl. I will be pissing my pants right alongside you!

Thing is this, Lacy, stronger, more aggresive, more pressure great chin. Joe chin,faster hands,stronger punch.It will go to the guy who has the better endurance in a brutal fight. Lacy seems to handle 12 Ok, Calzaghe fights 12 at a very fast pace so he's OK. I wish Lacy would lose to some muscle and pick up his hand speed, all that arm weight is just for show. Then it would be a war, as it is Calzaghe could decide to outbox him from the outside, but i suppose thats unlikely considering that Calzaghe likes to make things hard for himself.

If Lacy didnt have a chin i'd give him no chance but because he has its a good fight, i think this fight will happen because Lacy has the balls to fight Calzaghe anywhere.Thing is this, Lacy, stronger, more aggresive, more pressure great chin. I dont know who would win but Ill tell you what... LAcy vs. Calzaghe will be as good of an action fight as can be made in the entire sport...I cant even imagine how excited I would be too watch this guaranteed brawl! He's been his own worst enemy without a doubt but I don't think he could have done anything to make the RJJ of the last 5 or 6 years make him fight him. He clearly wasn't interested in fights like that, only ones he thought he could breeze through. Hopkins and Tarver annoyed me, if its an easy fight then why would he want the biggest payday of their career?? That happens a lot, when Calzaghe's mentioned opponents want 3/4 times as much as they normally earn.

Thats a fight i doubt will happen, it annoys me how many American fighters ignore Calzaghe for an easier fight. He's been too good for his own good but i think he could of done more to make the fights happen, if i were him i'd be standing on Roy Jones' doorstep now, i'd camp outside his house until he agreed to fight me. You can make the same argument about Calphony. Who has really tested him besides Robin Reid? Nobody really because his level of comp hasn't been great his whole career. I think Lacy will KO him if this fight ever comes off. Lacy has underrated hand speed & throws alot of punches with mean intentions including a solid chin. Tarver vs. Jones III is a tough one to call. I wanna Jones because he's the one that asked for this fight. It seems as if he has more to prove now than Tarver has because his legacy is on the line. I really believe that if he thought that he couldn't win he wouldn't have taken this fight. Thats unreal, how can you compare Calzaghe's fight record to Lacys?? I respect Lacy but biggest wins have come against Sheika and Vanderpool, he wasnt impressive in either fight so its harldy proof he's a world beater. Calzaghe has beaten...... Chris Eubank(Made 20 defences of the WBO belt) - before anyone says he was old and shot, Eubank was only 31 when he fought Calzaghe, just watch the fight to see the condition he was in. Robin Reid(WBC World Champion) Ritchie Woodhall(WBC World Champion) Charles Brewer(IBF World Champion) Byron Mitchell(WBA World Champion) Lacys speed isnt underated, he's a big muscle bound fighter who has average handspeed. You mention he has intention but thats part of the problem, he loads up too much and opponent can see it coming, everyone knows its the shots that you cant see that hurt. Lacys solid muscle and has a low centre of gravity, he'd be hard to KO but if the fight goes 12 round Calzaghe can handle it. Tarver vs Jones is a tough call, i slighty favour Jones but i wouldnt be suprised if Tarver won again.

Lacy is a Showtime fighter; Calzaghe is under some type of agreement with them as well. Jones is an HBO fighter and I'm not sure what Tarver's contract is with them, but he has fought on that network for awhile. So I guess this thread belongs in "fantasy fights", unfortunately... Exactly the opposite to me :) I know Jones is a HBO fighter but Calzaghe isnt tied to showtime, Warren has made that clear in the past so that fight could hopefuly work. If your predictions come true i think it can be made, Lacy's got balls, Tarvers got ego and neither seems fully tied to a network.

Joe is 33 and I believe young Lacy will really up his game against the old man and cause a TKO win I think you are right, Joe simply has waited to long to get invloved in a big fight, his prime probably has gone....but I would not be surpised to see him beat LAcy in the least bit, he has all the tools.

i think itsw going to be tarver n calzaghe, n although ive only seen one fight of calzaghe, ive heard TONS about him, and to me he has the experience factor on his side
