is Ann Wolf the woman who KTFO Vonda Ward? If so then she looked impressive in the clip that I saw. That was one of the most brutal KOs Ive ever seen man or female.

Date and opponent have been changed. Ann Wolfe vs Bo Skipper on Oct 15 in Biloxi, MS. She might actually win.

Seems to me like this sets up a bad precedent....Another one of those freakshow things that I think boxing really doesn't need and makes it even harder to take seriously as a sport....would someone pay to watch a womens' rugby team play a mens' rugby team? Doubt it and for good reason....boxing doesn;t need this even though I do appreciate the fact that it will allow for bragging rights is Wolfe wins and probably pay better than fighting another undertrained female fighter....Womens' boxing is in more of a state then mens' boxing but it doesn't need this to increase in popularity...just needs a memorable match-up (which are even slimmer in for women than men)...just my opinion

Its not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog (Damn I have been waiting to use that quote). Anyway it doesn't make any sense for Wolfe to fight a dude unless she were going to make a move for one of the divisions belts and there is noway she would be able to hang with any of the title holders. The fight would be pointless, although she is very dangerous she doesn't possess the skill or the power to handle any real male opposition. She needs to keep fighting women and become Laila's #1 mandatory defense. If wolfe is already then she needs to have Laila stripped if she won't fight.

You are joking right?! Ann Wolfe is a 7 time World Champion, who will beat Laila into submission. That is why Laila has been ducking Ann for the last 2 or 3 years! The thing is, Laila doesn't want to get into the ring with any real competition, she will fight anyone but Wolfe... Wolfe is a real strong finisher, in the one fight of hers i've ever seen she reminded me of a shark that smelled blood. Laila will never get in the ring with Wolfe, she'll get her pretty ass knocked the fuck out. even against a man, i'd bet on Wolfe, unless the guy is a really, really skilled pro, she'll fuck him up. i once saw a tiny little girl ( and i mean tiny, 5'2", maybe 105 soaking wet ) beat up a big guy. nothing really matters except how good u can fight

i cant imagine how any good is gonna come out of this for the sport of boxing. so say she is a badass, she's still a woman and your gonna have a man PUNCHING a woman on televison around the world. i dont see how that could ever look good, wether its a sport or not. and what if she gets fucked up, like gerald mcllelan fucked up? can you imagine the amount of bad media and publicity the sport would get bombed with for allowing some cocky ass woman to try to show her flower power against a man? i read alot of these boxing articles about how boxing is going down the drain, well i think this is the kind of shit that could end it for good. i really wish they would not allow this circus to happen. i dont have a problem with women wanting to be boxers but for christ sake, only let them fight each other. My problem with the fight is... what does it prove? It's a publicity stunt. She can't even come close to any good male fighter, so this is just one more match which shouldn't be taking place. Same thing is going on with Wie and golfing. As far as I'm concerned a woman has no place in a boxing ring with a man, regardless of record. It starts off with her getting into the ring with some local bum and winning. Then she fights someone a little better. Eventually, in a couple years the next big female badass wants to step into the ring and beat someone better, and the first female ends up killed in the ring. Amen brother. This "fight" is nothing but a sham and a joke. A publicity stunt as you say, and what does it prove. You put the best women boxer in the world in the ring with a pathetic tomato can of a male fighter. then if she wins it's some great accomplishment promoting womens equality. If she loses, well it was to a man so it's understandable. :rolleyes: Sooo fucking pointless! This is similar to billy Jean king, the best women's tennis player in the world at the time beating a 60 year old washed up hasbeen of a former male pro tennis player. I don't even think the guy tried and when king won they tried to make it out as if it proved a women can compete with men at any level. I love women. I have a daughter who I want to grow up with all the opportunities that her brother has. However, it is a simple fact that women are physically weaker than their male conterparts. All of you expressed my sentiments exactly. Man young men are taught not to hit women and to respect women etc. what type of message will this be sending to our young ones out there. Now every woman in the world will want to get into boxing and fight men, Next they will be suing and wanting to integrate the NFL, and NBA. Beyond that its just and anomoly and nonsense that doesnt need to occur. womens boxing is already trash why bring it over to the mens side. they have what they want a womens boxing division etc. why not just leave it at that and leave the two seperate and mutually exclusive?
