Your mate JUYJUY has got a thing for Eubanks. He believes that Eubanks is broadly recognized as a "Legend" in the UK.
Can any of the Brits on this site weigh-in on this claim?.
In all honesty Eubank only saw boxing as a business and nothing more than business ... Eubank honestly does not care how he is remembered as a boxer and he did not care about being in the history books at all he just didnt care ... Eubank was purely in the game for the money and he was inspired by an american wrestler called Gorgeous George: the customers will pay top dollar to see the downfall of an obnoxious fighter
Eubank admits to being a " narcissist " though because he watches his fights every day!
Chris Eubank was the games great showman ... there was nobody in the world of boxing who had his charisma and he kind of changed the boxing world in a way ... he put a lot into the game!
Was his "Legend" status not intact prior to the Book? We're talking boxing skills, not literary skills. This is not meant to be a cheap shot, I'm just trying to keep it focussed on his career as an active fighter, which is what his "Legend" is measured by (at least on this site).
What a stupid question. Yes ofcourse he's a well-known legend in Britain, he's Chris Eubank!
But you only have to read his autobiography to see that he's infact a deep-thinking, genuinely-caring, intelligent person and far from the monocled clown of popular myth. I think Chris changed a lot of peoples opinion of him with his autobiography.

Are they the same by the way??
Well from what I Can see, being a brit, Eubank is either loved or loathed. I like him myself but let me tell you many brits hate a detest him and see him as a joke.
Fighters are either broadly seen as "Legends", as JUYJUY contends, or are something less than a Legend because of being "detested and loathed" by many.

Will you people stop bringing up Chris fucking Eubank please? It's getting really annoying now. This has got to be the most priceless quote I have ever seen on any board! Congrats, Munn! Priceless!
Everyone knows NAZ in boxing terms but if I asked the non-boxing fans at work who NAZ was they'd not have a clue whereas EVERYBODY knows Chris Eubank because of his flamboyant personality ... a living legend lol

did he just say that  wtf i hear "the Twilglight zone"'s music on right now
Ofcourse Naz is well known in the UK. Its just he chooses not to appear on TV as much as Eubank (who had his own At home with the Osbourne style tv program a while back).
EUBANK DVD
I dont really understand what the question is asking me, but i would consider Chris Eubank to be a celebrity, especially in the UK.
Put it this way, if the olympic commitee needed somebody to represent Boxing in the UK it would be him or Naseem Hamed in my opnion. Not Ricky Hatton, cos although good, is not recognised as much yet. Still is a don though.
EUBANK was probably the most unpopular brit boxer in a way because he was a man like no other that the fans really hated ( eg secretly loved ) ... but he's one of the most recognisable brit sportsmen alongside bruno, gazza, beckham etcetera or even one of the most recognisable brit celebs alongside jordan, jimmy saville, del boy, jonathan ross lol ... really you have to live in britain to know what EUBANK is about ... he wears a monocle for example and is a nutjob

Just needed to see if these words were quotable.
Thought me PC was messed up when I read this the first time.
EUBANK is the most popular post-war brit boxer there has ever been with the exception of Bruno ... so yes he is a big legend over here due to his flamboyant personality ... never had we seen anything like the guy before

 I never in my wildest dreams thought I would ever hear Juy say those words!
