In addition Hopkins has sent a letter to the WBA requesting a review of the scoring and an immediate rematch pursuant to the rules of the organization. Hopkins is considering similar appeals to the WBC and IBF.

Hopkins, King claims denied!
A Panel of the American Arbitration Association has just issued a decision in connection with Bernard Hopkins and Don King's claims against each other arising out of their promotional relationship. Hopkins sued King seeking in excess of $1.5 million for King's failure to promote the full number of bouts which he was required to promote under the three year agreement. King countersued seeking in excess of $20 million claiming that he was damaged by Hopkins' refusal to participate in a rematch against Felix Trinidad, thus leading to Trinidad's first retirement, and for Hopkins' premature termination of his promotional relationship with DKP. The Panel denied Hopkins' claim stating that both parties to the promotional agreement failed to negotiate reasonably with respect to the bout which King did not do for Hopkins. The Panel denied King's claims stating that with respect to the Trinidad rematch and claims for a continuation of Hopkins' contractual obligations. The Panel also decided that Hopkins has to return a $150,000 advance that King paid Hopkins during the course of their relationship.

You know I hate to say but I think some of you Taylor fans are kind of afraid to see a rematch. Maybe you're think Hopkins might down Taylor much more convincingly this time. Why else would you not want to see a rematch this year? All I'm seeing is Taylor shouldn't have to fight Hopkins this year knowing that he doesn't want to fight after January.
To tell you the truth I would love a rematch A.S.A.P so all you doubters realize that the Hopkins revolution is over but, another part of me wants Taylor to take his time just like Bernard did with other fights that could've happen but didn't because of negotiations. Give him a taste of his own medicine.
im not even really a taylor fan or a hopkins fan, but taylor won convincingly, and theres no rush for a rematch, where taylor knocks him out this time.
Wow, that's the craziest thing I've read about the fight yet. It was a close fight, which is why it can be argued that either fighter won, or it was a draw. To say he won convincingly is a joke.

fuck hopkins, hes a sore loser, and now hes mad because he cant run the negotiations anymore because he has NO BELTS. TAYLOR HAS EM haha

why is everybody crying about how taylor should be considerate to hopkins? hopkins has always been a bitch leading up to fights and in negotiations, so now his bitch ass lost (shouldve been unanimous decision) and now he has to live with his sorry performance.
Yeah, there was a rematch clause, so i don't know what's all this shit bout...He will have to wait till Taylor's cut heals...After makin Taylor take the fight with a 24 hr deadline, Taylor should do the same and make him wait till Nov-Dec...
Well I gotta say I like the 'new' one going around the forum..that taylor will be the 'real' champ ONLY when he rematches nard, WHEN nard wants him to. Funny thing is, I could have sworn he left the arena last Sat. night already the REAL champ.
I disagree Taylor should ask for a 70-30 split, heal up and then fight when ever he wants fuck hopkins.....He didnt beat Taylor or was it a draw
I agree. Maybe if Hopkins was taking the loss like a man instead of filing appeals and crying like bitch. Taylor needs to do what's best for him at this point and not even worry about what Hopkins wants.
Headbutt's are not what caused jermaine's face to swell up like a water balloon. Hopkins won a lot more rounds than people are giving him credit for. I have seen the fight 4 times, I believe that it was an even fight after 8 rounds. Watch it again before you argue, jemaine throws an ass load of punches but lands hardly any. Hopkins just outscored him most of the fight.
Taylor won, he holds the cards. If he wants to heal fully and fight the rematch in 06 that's his perogative.
I think that while it is Taylor's decision when he'll choose to fight for the rematch, history will not be happy if Taylor puts it off too long. The last fight put a bad taste in everybody's mouth because everybody knew Hopkins should have won. I'm not saying he did win the fight(was a draw in my opinion), but it was obvious he could have and should have won the fight if he had gone to work one round earlier.
The longer Taylor waits, the older Hopkins gets. The older Hopkins gets, the better Taylor looks during the fight. After the fight not many boxing fans will be happy to see that he let age do more work on Hopkins than he could.

He will more than likely be fully healed before December. They know Hopkins doesn't want to fight past his next birthday. Everybody knows he holds the cards but if he wants to be a real champ like he says then he will give Hopkins the rematch by the end of this year instead of trying to wait it out. Hopkins gave him his shot when he didn't have to so Taylor should do the same.
I think it's all just so that he can get a rematch by the end of the year. They exercised the rematch clause but that doesn't mean that the Taylor camp can't put it off until next year. If they wanted to the Taylor camp could just say that they won't fight again until next year.

I agree to me he is crying and now needs his diaper changed
Exactly. He was always a thug-ass piece of trash, but when did he turn into an infantile little bitch?
whats everyne talking about, if anything, take a look at that ref that scored it 116-112 for hopkins.
if THAT ref had been watching the fight, taylor wins it easy either way.
quote from hopkins before the fight: "I want no excuses when Bernard Hopkins makes Jermaine Taylor look amateurish"...
what happened bernard? taylor DIDNT look amateurish, and YOU'RE putting excuses. get over it.
Embarrassing move for Hopkins if you ask me. Take it like a man, whether you think you won or lose. There probably are countless fighters who've lost decisions when they're sure they've won the fight, and guess what, they sucked it up and moved on. Very disappointed with BHop, I'm sure this stupid move will tarnish his legacy.
For the boxing gurus here, i got a question. In the history of boxing, was there ever a fight that was overturned after an appeal by the losing fighter?
ye exactly, if they didn't do it for the Dlh sturm fight, dont expect them to do it here.. i mean damit, that was for the whole fight. this is only for one round. n shit have u seen jerry roths scorecard, that thing wasn't even funny
The Million Dollar Question Is If Taylor Doesnt Fight Him Until Next Year Does Hopkins Retire, He Doesnt Want To Fight Much Longer......................
