didnt mercer just get KO'd with a kick to the head in K1? didnt lance just get ktfo to that luan guy? tua is here to? damn these are liek all the ehavyweight wash ups on 1 card o goodie, the only good fight that coulda happened was maybe briggs vs mccline
Then my be past their prime but at least they r fighting each other which should make for a good card

funny thing
Tua and Briggs were gonna fight in Friday night Fights (not against each other) in Verona last month but Tua pulled out why are they fightitng in the same cards now??
Are you talking about the fight in the turning stone? His opponent was PETRIFIED of Briggs. That is why Briggs won easily.
In briggs last fight he fought some undeafeated angry African guy, who someone on this site said was very good. That guy wasn't scared at all, he was going for the KO but didn't realize how strong Briggs really was
briggs looked very good in his last bout, against an undefeated fighter..hes gonna bring it to mercer

Ray had retired and tried a couple of K-1 matches, the last I believe he was stopped by a kick, I don't think he went down, but the fight was stopped. He recently fought Darroll Wilson 27(21 KO's)-8-2 and won by UD10. I am glad to see him fight again, I know he's past his prime but he could still bring some excitement to a few more Heavyweight fights. I am really interested to see him fight Briggs as well.

Should be entertaining. I thought my boy Merciless retired though.
I could have sworn the name of this thread was "Great HW Card" but then I see Shannon Briggs and an ancient Ray Mercer are the headliners. I don't understand.
I saw the fight scheduled on another site, I hope that it comes to fruition. I think its a group of exciting to watch heavyweights. Of course its not the Ray of Old. But from what I hear that Briggs really looked good last time out so the important thing is I hope its an exciting fight. Whittaker and McCline again, still interesting to watch. And maybe David Tua will get a someone with some experience to bring more excitement to the card. Now I am not sure where the info comes from on the site, I haven't read anything else except noticed it when I was searching for upcoming Heavy Weight fights on the schedule. I was and am still pretty excited.
I don't know if anyone remember's USA Fights when they had Oba Carr being showcased at the time, and they actually had viewers pick his next opponant, I don't how or what but he faced Livingstone Bramble which is who the viewers I guess wanted to watch, I think that kind of approach we be good for the viewers, I also noticed some heavyweights on the schedule with no opponant yet. Some times these fights never come off, now here are three I noticed that are currently looking for a fight, now don't laugh too hard: Joe Hipp is coming back after about 2 and half years of not being in the ring, Mitch "Blood" Greean and my personal favorite: Oliver McCall. Tua this fan has spoken, fight the Atomic Bull!
That is a great card but not ppv worthy, does anyone know what network it will be on?
this would be a great card for espn or FSN to pick up, i know i would tune in, i'm sure just about everyone on this site would watch it.

HBO or not televised at all is my guess. Im leaning towards not on TV though..
I agree except that Tua, is finished. I think he will lose a decision to whoever he fights.
Unless he gets Riddick Bowe's judges to help him out.
I didn't see Tua's last fight, does he look bad? did he loose his power also?
Merciless Ray Mercer makes his return to the ring at age 44. As much I as appreciate his brutal KO of Tommy Morrison back in 1991... enough is enough Ray, your 44 years old and you just came off getting KO'd in K1. Time to hang them up. But on other hand Im only 2 hours from AC so what the hell maybe Ill go check it out.
