Foreman's face got totally distorted in every fight in which he took any punishment. When he fought Holyfield and Ali, his face just got puffed up and swollen. When he fought Stewart, his face was so bloody, bruised, and swollen he was unreconizable.

I heard a story that when Alex Stewart fought George Foreman, he allegdly some-how hardened his hand wraps so that his punches were harder. This allegation came about because Foreman's face was flattened in that fight. I don't know how true the story is, though.

To people that say Jack held a piece of iron in his hand, these are the reasons why it could not possible be true. 1) the fight last 3 rounds with Willard not being able to come out at the start of the forth. I would like to think that is i was punching some one with an iron bolt, they would be knocked out well before the third. Let alone Jack Dempsey punching with an iron bolt. 2) Jack was using open hand parry in the start of the first round so he could not of had anything in his hand. 3) After the first knock down, in pictures taken you can see Jack holding on to the ropes with both his hand clenched around the ropes, therefore no iron bolt. Yep, Dempsey didn't have anything in his hand. The "legend" of the teeth sticking into a glove is from Jack Johnson v. Stanley Ketchel. Supposedly when Jack knocked Stan out some of Stan's teeth were sticking in Jack's glove. In film of the fight you can see Johnson brushing his gloves together after the KO, whether or not there were teeth present is up to debate.

You have every right to believe what you want, but to mention Dempsey's loaded gloves as a factual occurrence (as opposed to your opinion) of a boxer putting a weight in his gloves does not hold much water. It would be like if someone started a thread asking if a boxer was ever proven to be drugged/poisoned in a fight and then me giving Foreman against Ali and Wladimir against Brewster as proven examples just because I believe it to be true (which I don't).
