From 1980 to 2005, who is everyones favorite heavyweight? Either a champion or just a journeyman. Whos everyones favorite or favorites?
Id just go with two Heavyweights that I liked a lot in Razor Ruddock and Lennox Lewis.
Larry Holmes, George Foreman and Evander Holyfield. Too bad about Bowe, I thought he could have been something special. I used to like to watch guys like Orlin Norris, Bert Cooper, Bruce Seldon (cracked me up the way he would jump up at the last moment when he was knocked down).
Evander Holyfield by a landslide. Holy was as close to a modern sports hero as you could get, and a very nice person, not to mention a master boxer and true warrior in the ring. The best heavyweight champion since Ali, and I rank him in the top 5 all time.
Mike Tyson, the guy was just so fun to watch and got me into boxing. Whether it was against "bums" or not, you gotta admit that his boxing style was great to watch.

MIKE TYSON
Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis in reverse order.I was really into a local fighter named China"The Dragon"Smith for a while but he lost 2 in a row to journeyman Saul Montana and has since won 5 straight but don't see him going too far.
I always loved Greg Page, and Michael Dokes was very special in his days before his title win.Tim Witherspoon, Renaldo Snipes, and Bonecrusher Smith were also good. What little I saw of Tony Tucker, Carl Williams, and Mitch Green impressed me on some level, but the main man,( until Tyson, of course,) was Larry Holmes.
I always loved Bowe and still do. I want to see him get down to a trim fighting weight so we can see if he's really finished or just in shitty ass shape. I think it's a little from column A, a little from column B. Either way he owes it to himself to get into decent shape for his next fight.
Yeh big shame he had two hard fights against golota in 96 retired lost his mind for a while and got upto all sorts of crazy shit then has had two comeback fights and looked shit in them both as you can tell from the pic, so much wasted potential, damn those kitchens in your bedrooms

Oh dear.
Well, at least he's winning, unlike Holyfield, though he's fighting nobodies. It's really too bad because often the fighters with the most heart can't ever seem to give it up. What was such an advantage to them in the primes of their careers comes back to haunt them when they get older.
