Vitali vs Brock? It may happen

Klitschko now honing in on Calvin Brock! By G. Leon July 01, 2005 - Foruntately, Oleg Maskaev appears to be out of the Vitali Klitschko mix. The new frontrunner to challenge for Klitschko's WBC heavyweight championship on September 24, is undefeated up and comer Calvin Brock. Brock is certainly a step up from Maskaev, but with fights like James Toney, Chris Byrd, Lamon Brewster and the Rahman-Barrett winner out there, boxing fans still have reason to be disappointed with Big Brother. We will continue to keep you updated so stay tuned to our front page at all times. (11:25 AM) Acceptable but still disputable that he is avoiding Rahman like the bubonic plaque. Calvin outboxes him and steals his WBC strap, Calvin is faster and has better movement and is far more experienced IMO due to his amateur career. Brock has the ability to bang with the big guys and has experience, Boy ohhh Boy Vitali is doomed. He would be better with the elder Rahman.

Brock would be a live under dog should the fight happen. I think he's still pretty Green, but he has good movement and decent power in both hands. If he comes hungy and has a never say die attitude, I wouldn't say its out of the question he pulls off the upset. Anyone else think Brock has a chance? no chance at all, he will be knocked down atleast 4 times in this fight...

I could care less what ABC group ranked Sanders. He was 38, out of shape, and inactive for a year on top of being a fringe contender. Again, I don't consider him an impessive or viable win in the least. That's why I am adament about seeing Vitali fight Toney, Byrd, Brewster, Ruiz, Rahman etc. The division is shitty, but I want to see him fight a top Heavyweight. Fighting two fights agaisnt two very weak opponents(Sanders and Williams) in 18 months doesn't cut it for me. Everyone is constnatly touting Vitali as the #1 Heavyweight and he's fighting shitty opponents. And where were all those guys before Vitali signed to fight Sanders????? They were all running like scared lil bitches.

Can someone explain to me how Brock is overrated. I already read that on this thread and then I also read the he'd be destroyed by Klit based solely on the fact that he was knocked down by McCline. Some people are unbelievable. Brock has looked good against everyone he's faced so far, and has shown that he has good skills with a lot of heart. I dare one of you Klitschko fans to disagree with that. He's now beaten McCline whos a good test for anybody, and he destroyed Etienne who is very average, but at least he's been in with good comp. Brock has his career in front of him and has a lot of upside, but I don't see how anyones overrated him. Nobody is saying that he's the second coming of christ. He is however a good heavyweight with good size, power, handspeed, chin, and has the heart to get off the canvas to win.He would get destroyed by Klitschko period...
