Harris had no stamina that fight. Aside from his horrible strategy, do you think Harris overtrained for this fight in hopes of making a huge statement. This is from ringtalk:
HBO's Larry Merchant said on "Ring Talk Radio" Sunday night that Harris weighed in at 134 lbs! That's right, 134 lbs. for a 140 lb. fight. Obsessed beyond your imagination, Merchant says Harris ran five miles in the heat the day of the weigh in, this after going to bed Thursday at a reported 136 1/2 lbs.
Harris isnt that bad,but hes also not as great as he believed himself to be,hes just okay, hes not horrible by any means,he certainly should not have lost to Maussa,if he did come with all those problems as speculated on,he did it against the wrong fighter(/part time washing machine deliverer) What cotto said about Maussa that could possibly give Harris problems "He has an awkward style,he's deceptively hard to hit,and he can punch" The three things that lead to Harris's undoing.
i heard something about vivian harris being homosexual. pretty sure it was vivian harris. i believe larry holmes said that on his website
Fags can spot other fags, so it's no surprise to me that Holmes called Vivian out on this shit.
he could be overated, but also it could be just an accident what happened. He did have so much pressure to show the world hes a good fighter so he came in throwing all out bombs every shot he threw came with all his energy which killed him.
YouR answer is no He did not overtrain! He was over anxious! Kermit Cintron and Manny pacquiao Overtrained.Vivian just plain messed up.
He messed up BIGTIME
He wasn't overtrained, he was overanxious and didn't listen to what manny was saying. He tried to end the fight in the first round and wound up tireing himself out. Manny kept telling him to use his jab and box and he did for a little bit but then ignored manny again. He then got ko'ed plain and simple by the ugliest puncher i've ever seen. Vivian who?
Harris shot his load after the first 2 mins, and he couldn't recover what so ever. I think over-training could've played a role in this, but I think it also has to do with him coming out guns full ablaze trying to take the lowly Maussa. I feel Harris will come back to old form in his next fight, but I feel that over-training is more of a excuse, then a actual reason for his shitty performance.
I watched the fight just earlier today. Whatever the hell Vivian did, he screwed himself up. I mean, guy was tired after the first round? He got himself humiliated. Maussa sticking his chin out, throwing REALLY wide and wild. This guy seemed like a platter opponent, but Vivian got himself knocked out. And what's worse the guy doesn't really seem like a big puncher either. I dunno what Vivian did, but he needs to step it up.

Good info you dug up.. but to me it seems like overtrained or not Vivian Harris is nothing more than a hyped up fighter who collapsed under pressure. Him saying he would beat Floyd is a joke, he wouldnt even beat Chop Chop Corley. Vivian Harris its time to leave the ring so we can finally stop hearing you say "You know what'm sayin" every 5 seconds
