Alot of fighters have weight issuses, but only some get called out on it. That was one of peoples excuses for Margarito about Santos. Weight issuses are just something for fanboys to nag about. Please, why is it that Mexicans on adverage have records over 50? Like Castillo/Chavez, than only get noticed at the end of their careers? Cotto has been fighting Mayweather left overs, and Olimpic fighters, Abbie was a gold medalist, far from a bum, and allways on good terms. Judah/May (outside) versus Hatton (inside) Doesn't matter who's in front of Hatton, he'd definitely keep throwing continuously, hitting your arms, shoulders, hips and also the occasional good head/body shot. He's rough and good at it, by throwing and then throwing some more. He leads and expects the counter, but also expects to get inside where he's best suited. May or Judah would be forced to choose their shots and then show Hatton some good movement. Twelve rounds of that is tiring, especially since Hatton would keep coming forward while throwing (although some ugly stuff). I don't see either Judah or May having any easy fight with this guy, even if Hatton's defense is not so good. Hatton's defense is his offense, he roughs you up and keeps you active, or you don't keep him outside. May and Judah are defintely not built for Hatton's all-night inside kinda' fight. BUT, either May or Judah in top-tier condition would be ready to go through 12 rounds of stick and move, and Ricky would be chasing these guys for ever, while getting popped popped and popped.

Would really LOVE to see Floyd and Hatton, if PBF keeps him at a distance, Hatton will be hurting IMO.

Against a glass jawed guy like Judah. Who the hell do you think Judah is? Evander Holyfield, Floyd Mayweather Jr perhaps. The guy is nowhere near the class of Hatton or Tzyu or Cotto in terms of overall ability. Hatton's relentless agression would have Judah on the canvas in the first round. It wont even take a Champion like Ricky Hatton to knock Judah out. Probably a journeyman will come along and do it before Ricky ever has a chance to. How is it a biased opinion? Only one person has knocked Judah out and that was Kostya Tszyu. I haven't see anyone else come close to knocking Judah out. You can quit dreaming of some journeyman knocking Judah out. I think Hatton will get koed by Mayweather. Yes, Hatton is a very good body puncher, has great stamina, and a chin but he lacks several thing. His defense is not tight what so ever. That is very bad against someone with fast accurate punches like Floyd. Floyd also has superior footwork and defense. Hatton will get his shots in but gone down in round 8 or 9 after taking a beating.

There has been so much arguing in the thread I kind of forgot what we were talking about but I guess the question of mayweathers next fight should either be the winner of cott/hatton or either zab drops down or he comes up to 147. McKay do you believe that styles make fights? Just because Judah lost to Tszyu doesn't necessarily mean Hatton would beat Judah. They only thing I need to know about Hatton is that he is rugged with grade AA stamina, a good punch, and a good chin. All I need to know about Judah is that his chin is trash and against a rugged tough high workrate skilled fighter like Hatton he would get flattened. Judah is the most overrated fighter on this website by a wide margin, and probably the most overrated fighter in all of the boxing press by a wide margin. This is just my opinion of course.
