Sam Peter's Ranking Is A Joke

I see where Sam Peter is ranked #6 by the WBC, #5 by the IBF, and #5 by the WBO. Who the hell has this guy fought to be ranked so highly? He is so protected right now it's a joke. IMO he is a circus act that would get schooled by a legitimate top ten guy. Sure he has alot of powere, but he is so unpolished and sloppy with his defense right now. How many of those big ass punches that he throws actually land? In Taurus Sykes he is going up against another guy who can't punch a lick. Put him in there with another big puncher or a guy who can truly box for christ sake. I can smell another sham of a heavy being forced down our throats for sure. Well I can understand why they ranked him so high.I think it's because there is no talent left in that division anymore with the exception of the top 4 or 5 guys.

Ivan Calderon could KO Danny Williams, SS Sam doing it doesn't prove anything... plus, dude, you root for JC Gomez, who got KO'd by a club fighter in the FIRST ROUND, so don't take any of your bright ideas to the sportsbook and lose your milk $ williams has a good chin and a huge heart, i thought he proved that in the kiltschko fight, so samil sam must have some legit power. As for gomez he was coming off a long lay off, didn't train hard, was unmotivated, and dismissed his opponent and payed the price for it, but that dosn't take away the fact that he is one of the most gifted boxers in the world, and has the ability to outbox almost any heavyweight when he is fully focused IMO.

How do you guys think Peter would fare against the following B- level opponents: Shannon Briggs Audley Harrison Danny Williams Calvin Brock Andrew Golota Evander Holyfield Jameel Mccline Nicolay Valuev Others? I know he is old, but please don't disrespect Holyfield and lable him as a B- fighter. but all the other would make for great fights. I can't pick 1 way or the other. Except for Harrison, who i think would beat him. Remember we still don't know how tough Peter is.

i'm gonna have to see how peter does against a tough, durable boxer before ranking him too highly... let's see him vs brock, donald, barrett, rahman, even johnson first... i havent forgotten him turning down the fight against gomez on HBO(before gomez lost)....

What some will call "protected," others will call it good management, including myself. Sam Peter's handlers are putting him against opposition they know he can beat and look good doing it. This management strategy is smart because not only is the fighter getting more experienced and confident after each fight, he is also getting alot of publicity and attention by the boxing fans and ranking bodies. If all goes right, Peter will step up at the right time and make some noise in the division as well as some good money. well put Boston, there's no point in putting Peter in with another top 10 guy until it's for a title belt and for big $$$, he should continue to KO the C level cats, then jump at a title shot when it presents itself....I think his rankings are legit, he's at least top 4 in pure punching power along with Vitali, Lamon, & the Rock, why not rank a guy like that #5????

The heavyweight divions has no one. Who cares about its ranking. He can be ranked #1 for all I care. With people like John Ruiz holding belts and Toney considered contenders its obvious that there is no point of caring.

I think some of you are really underestimating Sam Peter. The dude is only 24 yrs old. He is only going to get better. He could easily be the best HW in the next couple of years. Yeah his chin hasn't been tested but my money will be on Sam when someone tries to slug it out with him.
