Aint that some shit? people actually pay for scripted wrestling? it is ridiculous that WWE makes tons more money then a real live anything can happen fight that aint scripted.
I'd try to do #2 in moderation :)
Of course there's nothing wrong with what we're doing, heck I'm on this site daily, but you don't have to give me your life's M.O. to prove your point, we all have various interests, and you don't have to try to rationalize what we do on this site, this site doesn't exactly provoke any mind-building experiences
I am rarely on this site when I am not at work. I guess that is my point.
I work a job that requires me to be one one area for long periods of time in case a phone rings. My possible sources of amusement.
1 - Internet. Which I have to hack through administrative settings on my terminal to access.
2 - Pounding on a brick wall with my bare hands.
3 - If I happen to bring a video, watch it.
4 - Television.
5 - Hell's Angels by Hunter S. Thompson. Which I am savoring.
I see nothing wrong with idle chat about boxing. Hell, I usually debate Politics and Religion with people anyways. Which I find fascninating.

There's nothing smart about getting paid, just ask William Hung or Paris Hilton, they get paid too! Plus if you're at work (just like I am also) you really should be paying better attention to your business vs. arguing with 14 year old kids, but hey I'm doin' it too so I can't hate the game, but you can't tell me that this crap is intelligent conversation, it's pointless trash talk

Speak for yourself. I am sitting at a desk, getting PAID. I think that IS smart.

there aren't any intelligent boxing fans or wrestling fans IMO, think about it people, we're typing on a frickin message board when we could be learning something or be spending time with our families.... this shit isn't brain surgery

You will find that the ratio of Intelligent to Stupid Americans and the ratio of THunder & Lightning PPV buys to WWE buys is strikingly similar.

Well.... WWE wrestling... It's the good old saying... "only in America".
You guy's should watch football!...
I mean PROPER football!... Not that American football bollox!
your "football" or as we call it "soccer", in the US, is for sports REJECTS who either aren't skilled enough for baseball, aren't tall enough for basketball, or aren't tough enough for real "football" or boxing of course...but you're still tha man Martin :)
and by the way, when the WWE went to Manchester last year, the event sold out in less than 1 day (quicker than any Hatton fight, other than the Tszyu showdown)
I'm surprised you picked up on that. That was humor intended for a 13 year old. I assumed it would go straight over your balding grotesque head you loose assed beaf burgaler.
jeez, your doing some smack talking man :D
how many people order wrestling what are the numbers?
New Year's Revolution - 370,000 buys
Royal Rumble - 565,000 buys
No Way Out - 238,000 buys
Wrestlemania - 985,000 buys
Backlash - 295,000 buys
Those really are not far off from boxing anymore. Wrestling use to do huge numbers. The last spectacular ppv was DLH vs Hopkins which drew over a million buys. Mosley vs DLH II did like 980k
Are you serisous?
Yeah, Boxing will be fine. Lets put it in the honest & capable hands of DON FUCKING KING? He always does what best for the sport.
Grow a brain ball bag.
Don King isnt as negative as people make him out to be for the boxing public. He brings boxing to cities where they havent been in years and gives them good cards.
Every promoter is as corrupt as another, please prove to me how Arum is any less corrupt and how GBP is as honest and respectful towards there fighters as King is?
Boxing is a fucked up corrupt sport, period.
Ya and they say boxing is negative for kids??? boxing is about honor and is way more noble then wrestling! Wrestling teaches kids to use steroids and hit women! remember that kid in florida who killed his lil sister doing a wrestling move! come on these people are stupid sad that the best reality show on tv has low ratings THE CONTENDER was ten times better then survivor and the bachelorette haah.
James Toney and Floyd Mayweather do wrestling now?
Much like boxing. It depends on the actual event. Wrestlemania and the other, so called "big 4" PPVs (Mania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble) garner a much bigger audience than your other regular PPVs. I don't know the exact numbers, but this years Mania (21) drew almost a Million buys. Which was up from last years of 850,000 or something. Like I said I can't recall the exact figures.
The ECW PPV just got a huge number apparently of 750+ which is surprisingly big.
But a PPV like Judgementday or something might get 250,000-400,000 buys depending on the strength of the card.
:D
There's a certain irony to that post, you bottom feeding, sub human Turd.

I agree Boxing needs to be reestablished as a blue collar sport. Don King recognizes this and is finally realizing their is more money than in big cities or casinos. (spinks/Golota)
