People who try to differentiate Ali's trash talking with Mayweather are simply hypocrites. They hate Mayweather for trash talking, but praise Ali for trash talking. Let's not talk about how big of a backstabbing douche Ali was to Joe Frazier. ...Oh yeah, he fucked Joe good didn't he? Smokin Joe helped him out and he basically spit in his face and crushed the guys faith in a fellow boxer. Frazier was the good guy IMO and Ali was the bad guy.

What's so different about the shit Ali was saying to Joe Frazier and the shit Mayweather said to Gatti? What Ali did to Frazier showed that he had no class or no respect for anyone. That was disgusting, you would think if it was a man who helped you when you needed help the most you would go into press conferences (or whatever the hell they did back then) and give him his respect and say that it will be two great champions in the ring and let the fight sell itself, but he didn't.....I still like Ali, though. EXACTLY, GREATEST... I remember watching the rumble in the jungle and the interview shit after the fight, he didn't give props to his opponent...he just went blabbing saying, "I'M STILL THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME....."

well feel free to root for whoever you'd like, but I'll take a world-class fighter with an attitude problem over a classy prima donna any day of the week and twice on Sunday....the reason guys like Forrest, Klitschko, Ward, etc, don't talk trash, is becuase they're average fighters, not because they're "classy" but because they're mediocre, Floyd is king of the world so he should talk the biggest game to go along with his ability (remember that guy from the 60's and 70's, what was his name? well i dont really care for Ali cause iwasnt born when he fought but this lil spoiled brat i dont like. I dont really care about him so much to hate him, but does deserve a Bernard Hopkins on Tito beatdown

To be honest, i was rooting for Gatti. Now dont get me wrong, i known Floyd has murder skills, but so what. i wanted the underdog to win. But damm! Floyd showed me skills and talent i havent seen. It was a joy to watch him perform his craft. I'll tell you its a lot better than to have to listen to him talk! :rolleyes: But anyways, He's a fucking asshole before the fights, and a humble Champ after.

yeah but the thing is Mayweather would need to fight well liked fighters to get people to see him. Gatti fought bums and he filled the arena. Mayweather fought a bum in Bruselles and the American Airlines Arena in Miami had less people than a a game of the WNBA Sol.
