Both Tarver and Johnson suck and I am incredibly dumber for watching that fight. Both of those losers were so tired by round 8 that I even felt myself drifting in to sleep.
Maybe Jermaine Taylor will move up to light heavy and knock Tarver's boring ass out.
its a tactical fight, which is what boxing really is..... if u were looking for a gatti ward, or ali frazier III, than u aint gona find it here. i like the wars tooo, but i really appreciate the art, and tactics, and skill, like these fights, u dun find it too often anymore
I do too, but it was Lampley that made the comparison, not me.

I recall him saying that this was the Gatti/Ward for the light heavyweight division. Besides that 11th round was pretty much Gatti/Ward material.
I heard what he said. And it was still a stupid, blowhard thing to say.
Hell Yeah that's what I'm talkin bout, I was off my couch in the 11th too! The only BORING thing is this thread!!!
Yeah, the 11th was good, and i thought the 12th would be an extension of the 11th and then some, but Tarver had other ideas.
The 11th round was unreal, especially at the end of the round. I was off my couch in the 11th. :)

The fight was entertaining..Tarver kind of..sucked up the fight in the last round with all the clinching..but..overall..not bad..good strategic..rough fight
What can you say? Newbs! They watch boxing as a casual fan only looking for nonstop action most likely based on the previous confrontation. Tarver came with a game plan and I highly doubt he would have drifted off it to please anyone if it meant giving up the win. I thought it was a smart gameplan and enjoyed watching him execute it. Johnson is a really nice guy and just needs to now go back and rework things out for a 3rd confrontation because tonight Tarver had his number. He truely needs rematches to win big fights. Hmmmm.
I guess some people can't appreciate good strategy. Tarver effectively shut down Johnson's offense for most of the fight.

am i serious? yes...there was not one thing exciting about watching johnson follow tarver around the ring while never cutting him off...then finally throwing a couple punches get exhausted and tie up. nothing was exciting about watching tarver through 200 weak ass punches inside just to look busy. these guys are a joke and if the light heavy division wasn't so weak right now you would see that.
knives/mayweatherfan why even waste your time replying to such a dipshit thread? of course it was a great fight and its obvious the OP is a dumbass, so why even reply..?
Your right... :D
