I saw Holy on the Jimmy Kimmel show the other night after he was voted off of the dance show. He said he has a fight scheduled for sept, i was wondering if anyone knows who he will fight? or considering? If this has already been covered i'm sorry.
evander holyfield might be shot be he is not as as bad as tyson IMO, look at tyson's loses, all KO's, holyfield is also stronger than tyson is, he would probably lose by a UD, but he may still have enough to beat the likes of mcbride.i would still back holyfield to beat a mcbride.
Holyfield lost every round against Larry Donald...
Holyfield was blowing smoke up Kimmel's ass. He's suspended, at least in New York. Nevada will probably comply, so all other states that require boxers to get licensed will likely follow suit, though not necessarily. There's no way he has a fight scheduled officially yet. Maybe he's had talks, although I haven't read a damn thing about it anywhere.
He could fight outside the US no problem...
Holyfield should fight Tyson again!!!
1 - They can fight for the #1 Shot fighter award
2 - Holyfield always wanted another shot at the title. If Tyson quits against Holyfield.. There you go.. Holy will get another shot, just like the other 2 bums that beat Tyson.
holyfield showed in his 2 fights with tyson how strong he was.
U can't argue that, he is the only person to go Toe 2 toe with mike, and not end up on their back. Disregaurd danny williams, because when he was trying to go toe 2 toe, he almost got dropped, if it wasn't for the injury
I disagree that 43 year old Holyfield is stronger than 38 year old Tyson. Tyson also outweighs Holyfield by a considerable margin.

Hold it! I like how everyone just brushed over the real tragedy here ....
.... how the fuck did Evander get voted off that damn show? He was jamming like this when I saw him!
I'd have to say that you are overrating McBride quite severely too. Let us not forget that Kevin McBride was ko'ed by a dude named Michael Nurray who it just so happens hasn't won a fight since then going 0-10. and was coming into the fight on an 0 for 7 losing streak. Oh and he was also ko'ed by Touch of Sleep Williamson, so I wouldn't be so quick to say that he would defeat Holyfield.
As far as Evander coming back and fighting again, I for one don't want to see it, but if he is gonna come back why not have his farewell fight be a mega ppv event with a legendary lineup of fights like: George Foreman vs. Larry Holmes,Tim Witherspoon vs. Buster Douglas, Scott Ledeaux vs. Gerry Cooney, All leading up to the main Event of either A)Evander Holyfield vs. Mike Tyson=one last payday for Iron Mike as well as one last opportunity for Holyfield to pound Tyson's ass, or option B) Evander could face Riddick Bowe one last time, that way he could even up the series and we wouldn't have to see Bowe ever again in the ring!
Laugh all you want for now but if Don King were to get wind of this he would probably put it together and make a boatload of cash, just think the: GEEZERS AT CESAERS only 49.95 and ONLY IN AMERICA:unitedsta

McBride could easily beat Holyfield at this state of his career. Holyfield is only like 213 pounds and he does not have a whole lot stamina or punching power anymore. He would get absolutely mauled by McBride worse than Tyson did.
I think McBride is a crappy fighter, but I have to agree with you in that he would stop Holyfield. Holy has got nothing left.
I have to disagree with you Mckay, Holyfield isn't as shot as Ali was in during the latter stages of his career and has way too much heart to lose to Mcbride. They don't call him a warrior for nothing. I would predict Holyfield by UD or late TKO.
You underrate McBride as a fighter. Holyfield would get tired so fast with McBride bullying him and leaning him all night (McBride is very strong). And Holyfield's power is nothing now adays. He would be absolutely killed. The first for 4 rounds would be McBride holding and hitting him on the inside. McBride would hurt Holyfield and eventually stop him similar to the Tyson fight, except Holyfield would go down on his back and not quit in corner. McBride's strength advantage is too much and McBride's boxing skills are drastically underrated. He is trained by Hagler's old trainer now.

Holyfield is like the Ali of our generation(I'm 27). But I would like to see Holyfield back in action for a final "adios" against so tomato can like Mcbride because there's no way Evander would embarass himself against someone like him.

I always like to see Holy get back in there, hoping I will catch a glimce of the 92 holyfield, but once the bell rings for the 2nd round, i start feeling sad because I realize it won't happen. I now know how the Ali fans felt back towards the end of ali's career.

i would say that holy, is in good shape at this age, he just doesn't have that huge punch that old foreman, that could allow him to win. holy should have 1 more fight with bcbride, beat him then give it up. some one posted his last 8 fights, but they didn't mention, that he actually beat ruiz in that 3rd fight, and LL in their rematch. he also beat the #1 contender Rahman

Holyfield's story just get worse and worse with each fight its got to stop. I am sorry cause I know your a fan but he should retire..

Thats the thing man
We dont want to see him get hurt more...
yeah thats kinda what im saying, but if hes stupid enough to keep fighting who honestly cares? Its his decision and it he makes the wrong one, I could care less what he does.
I guess it makes some people really feel tough, whatever, I'll let them think they're tough while it's their only moment...
The funny thing is that I actually made friends on here hahaha
I have made friends too... :)
