Wolfe set to fight a man!
RPM Boxing and Prize Fight Promotions have announced that a date and venue have been locked in for female middleweight Ann Wolfe to fight a male boxer. The bout is scheduled to take place on August 20 at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi Mississippi. According to Wolfe's handlers, the Mississippi Boxing Commission has approved the fight. Both Brian Pardo of RPM Boxing and Brian Young of Prize Fight Promotions have steadfastly maintained that female superstar Laila Ali has been ducking Wolfe and Pardo stated that Wolfe intends to go ahead in a career of fighting qualified male opponents, unless "if it turns out that Laila Ali gets up the courage to fight Ann, we will certainly take that fight." Prize Fight Promotions hopes to announce the name of Ann's male opponent in the next coming days.

This has come up a couple of times before.
Vonda Ward, or any of the top 10 p4p womens boxers could beat most men in their weight class with no prior boxing / martial arts experience.
As soon as you get a guy that is about 160 lbs and has a year of training to be a boxer and a couple of amature fights, he will be able to take out Ward, Ali, Riker, etc.
What would be interesting is if they put in world class fighters at the lower weight classes against Ali.
Jorge Arce vs Vonda Ward. That would be competitive, but I would still pick Arce.
Just to be clear here, Vonda Ward is not a top p4p women's boxer - she's a china-chinned 6'5" beanpole who's one stiff jab away from a massive cerebral hemorrhage. She has no business being in the ring with anyone, let alone Jorge Arce.
Ann Wolfe might be able to live with him for a little while though. ;)

i was talking to ST about htis the other day. this could be very interesting. imagine if she came in and won some belts from men!!!!
Impossible. A hit from a top-ranked male boxer would literally kill her. Her body can't handle the blow.
EDIT: Yeah, if she was to fight Lacy, he'd rip her in half. If she moved to light heavy, she'd get shattered by Tarver, or Johnson.
that's not possible if she fights a man they will let her fight a bum, wich is normal because she is a female. they did this before with the imo best female fighter ever in rijker, the man wasen't anything special, anyway he KO'd her in the second round cold.
Actually it was a kickboxing match, and although the guy wasn't a champion kickboxer, he was still a very good one.
But yah, Anne Wolfe will never pick up any title belts of note (well, maybe heavyweight champion of her kitchen)...

Ann Wolfe, is she the woman that was pummeled with pies a few years ago?
First off I dont normally post abour female fighters...hell I never have before but why isn't Ali and Wolfe getting set to square off?
Ali needs to challenge this chick, sure I understand making a few bucks fighting Christy Martin who is half her size but lets make the most meaningful fight in womens boxing.
