silva easily! but its not a fair match up. without royce, MMA wouldnt be where it is today, and neither would silva. back then no one knew that juijuitsu would be so dominate, so few trained in it. now nearly all fighters use it in their training in some form, but they are also well rounded in all aspects of the game. back then people were good at ONE thing and that was it. so now the fight game has evolved so much since UFC 1 that any good fighter from this generation would wreck the early guys. not to mention one of the TOP fighters.

Silva (in a streetfight) by murder! Assuming they're both in their primes! I love the UFC but to say they are tougher than Pride is just plain ignorant. I agree. Next, Silva walks around at 215-220 then cuts down to make 205. He did lose to belfort, but that was a LONG time ago. he is a different fighter now and will slaughter vitor, so i hope they never fight again because i like belfort too much to see him beatdown like that. I agree. And Lidell WOULD NOT KO silva at all. i think it would be a good fight but lidell would lose by tko after alot of punishment. True that! Arlovski vs Fedor would be very close fight dont know who would win but might give a slight edge to fedor. I agree. And lastly, back to the topic, the only way these guys would have a chance is if they all fought at once and were allowed to strike to the groin, eye gouge, fishhook etc. other than that it would be silva by viscious beatdown. MAN I am getting sick of this threads! hahah first off why do you always post wanderlie who is 225 pounds hahaha fighting 160 pound boxers and even say who would win in a street fight? um the mixed martial artist will win because they grapple and boxers dont do jiu jitsu in the ring, if this was boxing only then the grapple still has a chance if he can land a punch and take many punches. But please stop with this unfair match ups they are ridiculous! please stop before the next post is Wanderlei silva vs manny pacquiao haha. there are more tough fighters in ufc than in pride This is the biggest bulshit I have ever read!

UFC is becoming to exclusive to have the toughest fighters in MMA, IMO. Plus it seems the bigger it gets, the more the Athletic Commission push for rules and regulation. And unfortunately, they would probably continue to do so. As for who would win? Well, as many have already mention, depends on the rules. MMA, Silva could easily take them to the ground and use his ground skills and use his 40+ weight advantage. In his fight with Hunt (a K-1 vet), he was very cautios standing up and was rock with some slower, but hard, punches. The smaller fighter could easily hit him with many punches to wear him out. But he could also wear em out by copying John "The Most Hated" Ruiz style. All in all, Silva could beat those boxer mentioned on the title, just as those boxer could beat Wanderlei. And yes, a clean flying knee on Hopkins' jaw will lay him flat on his has. But so is a clean flying knee on Silva's. And when making threads like this, it's probably better to choose fighters who are on the same weight class. Kinda reminds me of Pacquiao/Morales/Barrera/etc versus Tyson thread(s). :D - D

Knees, the flying knees. In a street-fight those knees will crack the skulls of B-Hop, ODLH, TITO & Winky! If anyone would have a chance it would be Hopkins. He grew up in mean streets of Philadelphia & has spent several years in the pen. Watch him fight Echols. I think he has best chance for a boxer in a no holds barred type fight. The weight would definitely be a problem, but if both at same weight & in primes I take Hopkins. Chuck Liddell will ktfo of Silva if they ever fight.

Great to see this. This is what I have said all along. Arlovski is the big dog now. Check my Top boxing Heavyweight vs. Top MMA Heavyweight thread to see it. I also think that Phil Baroni has some dangerous speed and power, but his defense and stamina are poor. Don't know much about Arlovski...but I guess Fedor owns him. :)
