What are you watching on SATURDAY? HBO or SHOWTIME ppv?

Is anybody looking forward to watching the Laila Ali fight? I'm curious to see her in action just because I'm such a fan of her father. But in general, I'm not that big a fan of women's boxing. If she would just fight somebody..ANYBODY with half a chance of beating her (which means Ann Wolfe, Lucia Rijker) then it might be a little different..but fighting the little gals she's fighting, with sorry records and all, she gets no respect. I was a big fan of hers, but she lost me for good when she fought that last chick she fought...somebody my kid could have given a run for her money! :eek:

You going to sit through the Ali fight or get a hot dog and drain the main vein instead? wassup spinksjinx? i'll watch it...this will be only the 2nd fight card i will be able to see live. i went to the gatti-leija fight but was working and got stuck in the press room so i couldn't really enjoy it. do you know who Sharmb Mitchell is fighting?

Mayweatherfan-In my thread I said he was everything before his prison incident but afterwards he hasnt done anything to garner any respect or recognition in boxing. Tracy-That is the typical Laila, I hate her with a passion. I wish Rijker would get in with her and beat her slow slugging ass. :) Same here, and I'm pretty sure that both Rijker and wolfe could do it too!

i cant see paying for a PPV where all the fights are much worse than the fight for free on HBO....

No and nobody should. she is undefeated and has made her career on fighting bums and pushovers and have avoided legit challenges. Laila is close to the record of 20- and the opponent she is facing is 6-1-1 complete and utter garbage and her drubbing of Christy Martin is meaningless. Laila is the BIGGEST fraud in boxing today.

Im undecided with Tyson everything is a Mystery. I do believe Mcbride could win if he hugged and leaned on him. But I ate my own sack of shit when I said Ruiz would hug Toney and would easily win and he didnt win. It could go either way although I believe Mcbride has the better chance if he fought smart and held and hung on. Do you know when the weigh in is?

I am always down for an upset or a quick knockout and I will get either one from the Tyson fight. :D Diamond vs Casamayor doesnt appeal to me much, I could really care less about either one of them but Cotto vs Abdullaev looks like a pretty good fight on paper and should be somewhat exciting. In my opinion only a true Tyson fan should order this fight, otherwise watch the HBO card. But I understand your situation. I will order it because I have a few people who already pre-ordered it from me and I have to send them copies out on Monday but the HBO card is so much better IMO. I will however switch and watch Mike when it is on because none of the other fights spark my interest as much as the HBO fight. However, this is what I hate about boxing. We have 2 decent cards on one night and making the fans choose isnt good. If Tyson was fighting at a time when there isnt a fight on then sells would do better but Cotto will hurt his sales.
