Antonio Margarito plans his next title defense tentatively scheduled for Sep.10th in Las Vegas.
Zab Judah and Shane Mosley are his likely opponents.
“I want to unify with Judah, he’s recognized as the undisputed Champion and a fight against him is very attractive.”
“Shane Mosley defeated ODLH twice and that’s indicative of his good level as a fighter.”
Margarito will begin camp for his next fight in Los Angeles in the month of July.

Ill take Margarito over Judah..and Mosely any day...Mosely..dont seem him being as good as he once was..and Judah has the speed over Margarito..but Antonio will keep coming at him..till he slows him down with body shots
Just want to input on that Santos fight. Night of the fight Santos weighed in at +175, Im not gonna say he didnt rock Margarito but it surely didnt stop Toney from coming foward and rocking a light heavyweight.(Santos)
Had that fight not been in Santos' hometown Margarito wins the decision.
Agreed. Margarito took some hard punches and took them well, also did you notice Santos' body language. He wanted out of there and the slip (forget which round) was really a knockdown, I remember one of the commentators mentioning it too.
That's what I'm saying man. I mean when people say stuff like Oh! Margarito better stay away from Judah, I just go like wtf..have they actually seen Margarito fight.
Some people will even bring up the Santos fight as a proof of Margarito's weakness, but I say it's the other way around. Margarito almost killed the guy, if it wasn't for the cut and the hometown robbery, Margarito would be champ at light middle right now.

Hey nice post, I think Margarito will laugh at Judah just like he did Cintron. Judah ofcourse is a tougher challenge but still Margarito ko's Judah.

I don't know bro. You claim Mexican pride and then say stuff like that. You actually want Margarito to stay away from Judah. I mean if you get impressed by flashy moves and a fast mouth then more power to you. On the other hand you're actually claiming Mexican pride and then come up with a post like this?...
Margarito should and will prove that he's the man. There's no place for ducking and fear of losing a belt, on the contrary he has to back up the belt and fight whoever whenever.
Unlike you, I know Margarito does have Mexican pride and he will go after the best no matter the outcome.

Totally agree, If Margarito wants to keep his belt a little longer, he needs to stay away from Judah.
I like Margarito but I don't see him get past Judah with his speed and accurate punching.

Calgary in Canada.
If and when the time comes maybe we can grab a brew after the weigh in or something.
After the weigh in, a friend and I ended up talking fight talk with a former trainer of Pacquiao for about 2 hours. He had some great stories.
I loved how fans of both fighters seemed so friendly and genuinly pumped to just be there. Can't wait to go to another big fight.
That one was my 1st and only to date.
Hey your from Canada, I was sitting next to this old guy during the fight. He said he was the 1966 Canadian lightweight champ. He showed the picture but I cant remember his name.He was really nice and pretty strong for being so old and so small.
Canadians are ok in my book.
judahs speed was a key factor in him knocking rivera down..margarito will not be ready for judahs speed..he has never seen anyone as fast as judah. At first i was skeptical about judah moving up to 147 but now it looks like hes stronger than ever. He has knocked down every opponent he has faught at 147 and has only been down once at 147 vs spinks in his 1st fight..i see judah knocking margarito down at least once and wining a UD

I live in L.A I should be going to that one also.
Where you from?

It looks like it may happen in December.

That's cool man. I swear I must have walked right by you.
This is a long shot, but I don't suppose you heard me yell at Jim Lamply did you? I waited for a quiet hush, and yelled "You're still a cheer leader Lamply!" (he used to be one). ;)
Where were your seats?
I was up in section 217.

Sorry I didnt see it the first time. I saw Floyd when I was sitting in my seat but not when I went down. After the pic I went toward the Hbo commentaters and saw Jones pretty close up.
I was also trying to peek inside the ring when they were interviewing Morrales and Pac.I really stood out cause I was the only one wearing that shirt, it was custome made by a friend.

BROWN BOMBER,
I asked you before, but did you see Floyd Mayweather when you were standing next to Lacey in that photo?
I must have walked right by you, because I went up to 'Left Hook' and chatted a bit and got his autograph right where you were in that photo.
Then I saw Floyd go by being mobbed by a group of 20 people. It was funny.

I hope it happens . Aint nothing like Zab Taking somebody apart for 10 rounds. Should make for a good fight though , and unity in the Super welterweight division
I wouldn't be so sure. I think you're selling Judah's power at Welterweight a bit thin.
Judah is walking around at 155-160 between fights, and I think now that he's a full Welterweight his punch is better than it's ever been.
Cosme Rivera (who isn't world class I know) was a durable mexican fighter who had never been down, and Judah dropped him with the 1st power shot he threw:
I'm not saying Juhad will blow him out, or even stop him, but to suggest Margarito will shrug off Zab's best shots doesn't seem right.
Santo's shots really did a number on Margarito's face.
I think Judah's speed and power will allow him to score a competetive points win.

If Margarito gets knocked down it will be because of the speed and if he gets caught off balance it will not be the power.
To all the Zab fans, I would gladly bet all my points on this fight.
HE has also raised his defense and patience , In the fight with Rivera after his first knock down , he didnt go in for the immediate finish he threw jabs and waited for the next opening . A younger Zab Judah after the first knock down would have went in there for the kill . He has grown and matured , and quite frankly i dont see many people beating him at 147 anytime soon
YEs , I have never seen him run from anyone ,,I have never seen him stand right in front of someone and leave himself open either . I hope Broen bomber would like to wager some points also , I dont have many but i would be happy to take his .
