Do you think Jeff Lacy could be sucessful at cruiserweight and light heavyweight? I think he could...
i think he could be successful at light heavy although cruiser weight is a ways up there. he might be able to be but thats a while off if he is. i dont think he could beat tarver though b/c tarver has to much skill and his reach is very long and i think he could keep lacy on the outside with his jab, i mean rubin williams did way to good againt jeff but lacy looked damn good against reid, and he will improve. also lacy would of course be more expecting of tarvers skills than williams so you never know. i would go for lacy against anyone in super middleweight or light heavyweight besides curti stevens, jaidon codrington, and roy jones.
Lacy has said he's comin for the Light Heavy and Middleweight belts. He's good enough to do that in a few years but for right now he should stay supermiddle. Before the Reid fight, Lacy had to drop 6 pounds to get down to 168.
Quote from Lacy from his Weblog, " I am so strong now and my endurance is approaching career-highs. I feel like Superman."

I think he'll end up at LHW and probably cruiser as well later in his career, if he can continue to succeed.
i ALSO AGREE, LACY HAS THE POWER, BUT NOT ALL THE SKILL TO STAND A CHANCE AGAINST SOMEONE OF TARVER CALIBUR, ANTONIO TARVER IS JUST IN A DIFFERENT LEAGUE OF HIS OWN, BUT LACY WOULD DO GLENN JOHNSON IN WITH A KO
I don't know, but I agree he looks ok like maybe he's close to his normal weight when in the ring, but I've never seen him weigh in, dunno if that would make a difference or not...
Glen is an overhyped journeyman.I don’t think so. Glen improves each fight. His last fight was his best fight and he became very skillful. I don’t know who will win the rematch with Tarver.
I think Johnson will UD Lacy 116-112 because of his experience and perfect tactics.
Jeff is strong as a mythical beast. He can simply move in the next divisions (excluding Heavyweight) and be successful there. But I think he should stay at super middleweight, accumulate experience and become Hall-of-Famer here. Aftere that there will be a reason to move up.
Jeff and Joe are both the big problem for each other.
It’s sad that Sven “King Nothing” Ottke retired. He might decide that Jeff is another Byron Mitchell and accept to fight him. Jeff would not let Ottke avoid his punches.
Not long time ago Jeff said he would fight B-Hop. It would be dangerous for him because only we all saw what RJJ did with himself by losing natural weight.
he could very well end up on the wrong end of a Tyson-Douglas type fight lol
He sure could. I would imagine Tarver would be the one to do that. I still think there are a slew of fighters he would manhandle at 175. Like Woods, Johnson, Tiozzo, Adamek, Briggs and and others.

Yeah, I didn't really see him making Middle, I just think really he should stay where he is. There are already a ton of guys taller than him who might give him trouble right where he is, and if he moves up he could very well end up on the wrong end of a Tyson-Douglas type fight lol
Lacy would be better off going to 160 if he can make the weight. He's not very tall, and if he moves up in weight he's going to run into guys that not only are taller than he is, but have power to boot. I think Tarver would beat him silly, Johnson probably would too.
Lacy is a natural cruiserweight and has to lose around twenty pounds to make his current weight at super middle. Not to mention, he probably has to sit in a chair for days considering his only weight loss consists of atrophy. He has like hardly any body fat and what he loses is basically pure muscle.
I agree with Tarver beating him, but I think he would knock Johnson through the ropes. Glen is an overhyped journeyman.

lacy said he will go to 160 beofre he go to 175.. but his goal is clean out all three divisions...taylor is a huge middle weight comes in the ring 175 lacy comees in at super middle at 174
Lacy is very talented and i think he would be a threat at the light heavyweight division later on in his career. Tarver is much better right now hes a complete fighter. Glen Johnson also has become a good solid fighter and has just beaten Roy Jones Jr. and Antonio Tarver. Id say for now that he would pretty much handle Lacy. Lacy eventually could become a good Light Heavy when Tarver and Johnson get just a little bit older or retire. He wouldnt go to crusierweight because theres no money there. Don King is trying to make the division big again but its a long way off. Lacy will not go up to there.
