I mean...look who gets to make out with Ruiz next. Some no name fat russian bastard that gets a title shot for beating that mecca of boxing Cliff "Dentist Chin" Ettiene. Don King is cancer.

Castellejo is getting 1Million if he fights Vargas but with no belt. He is probabbly looking for the easy money vs Vargas...but these cats get smoked by Mayo anyway.. So if Castellejo gets stripped...who gets the belt? Mayorga is the #1 contender according to them...that means he gets the interm belt? Even as a Mayo fan...He doesn't desever the belt..maybe we will see Santos and Mayo now that Santos is with DKP, or SIMMS.

The WBC is the most crooked bastards in the sport more so than King. Mayorga vs Castillejo was supposed to be on for the 21st on the undercard of Golota vs Brewster. HBO even announced it on a telecast and had it on there website for a while. The reason given it was pushed back was because they feared Mayorga would have more troubles with his rape trial and needed more time to train. Also Don wants to have a "blockbuster" ppv in July or August and probably saving it for that time. The deal was done and agreed on (obviously if HBO mentions it on live camera and in print as an upcoming telecast). So I dont know what the hell the WBC and Vargas is bitching about. Hell the WBO is looking damn credible these days, although the only belt that really counts is the ring belt. BOYCOTT ALL ALPHABELT BELTS!!! POWER TO THE FIGHTERS!!! VIVE LE REVOLUTION!!!

Kimmy is 100% on the money. Don King is RUNNING the WBC. Wow. What a liar and crook. They didn't even let the Mayorga-Javier fight go to purse bid. They TOLD (and it's documented on fightnews) Javier that he HAD to accept Don King's terms for a Mayorga fight, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. The WBC is the one not complying with their OWN damned rules. What a joke. The fight was supposed to go on last weekend, Javier new he would be fighting for Mayorga. The only reason he wants out of it now is because he is getting a bigger check from main events to take the fall against Vargas. 154 is so damn shitty now that Winky is gone, it is just if not WORST off than the heavyweights.

Mayorga doers not deserve the title shot. This is another instance of Don King controlling the WBC, just like he has done for years. Jose Sulliman is a criminal and should be behind bars. Vargas does? I believe if anybody should be fighting Castillejo it should be Ouma or Santos. Mayorga has been rumored and pretty much confirmed to go against Castillejo for MONTHS. They were even scheduled to fight last weekend on the Brewster vs Golota undercard. Vargas is just a little whiny ass and the always corrupt WBC gives into his demands. Next we will be seeing Vargas vs Joval II for the WBC strap.

Where did you get this? It's on the front page. To be fair, Vargas has not fought at 154 in almost 2 years (he was 156 against Vanderpool, so not even then) and couldn't even make 160 (he weighed in at 162) for his fight against Joval. Mayorga, on the other hand, isn't in a much better position, but he has been fighting constantly while Vargas was off. So, since Mayorga's fight against Trinidad was before Vargas' return against Joval (and Trinidad is better competition), I think Mayorga should be the rightfull #1 contender. The winner, tho, should have to fight Vargas.
