I just saw some screens for Fight Night Round 3 that is supposed to be released sometime in 2006. I have to say that it looks pretty impressive, though I wonder how they are going to update the gameplay and fighter rosters... In any event, at E3 it was announced that it was going to be released on the Playstation 3, and it made a pretty big splash. I was curious if anybody else had heard anything or had any thoughts.
I guess I'm askin about the game "brain" so to speak but if you put it on 0 players by putting the controllers in the middle after you select the fighters will they fight similar to the fighters they're patterned after?
Or will they both come out and start swingin like the games from the early 80's? The only differences in the fighters back then was their hair color.
are the Klitschkos on that game yet?????????
The reason EA has a problem getting a lot of boxers into the game is they have to sign a contract and pay off each individual boxer.
There is no Boxing Leauge to strike up a deal with.
Sucks for us, but maybe in the future boxing will get an association. for retirement, insurance, and other benifits (stuff like promotional contracts).
all the sources EA has now they should be able to make a near perfect boxing game, they got a year left and so far the game looks awsome, hopfully they will put allot more boxers on there.
15% of them will be active boxers
15% will be retired boxers
&
70% will be guys the computer created.
That's some gay shit, man.

I have heard that the price for this system is really going to be up there- like 400+ which is far more then the Nintendo or Microsoft systems will cost, although it is likely that the quality of games are going to be higher on Sony, though supposedly the X-Box 360 will have a lot of sick features the others wont carry.
In any event, I really hope they update the roster of the game and do what they can to make it less of a slugfest. I think that would work if they had both a simulation and arcade mode or something...
Nope, Sony dropped the bomb it would release at the same price as the ps2 most likely.
VERY GOOD NEWS, If the hype lives up to it great news. But 360 is showing actual gameplay which looks impressive.
Im a nintendo mark though.

fight night 3 should alot more boxers and more 1 punch knockouts and the game would be perfect
The disc format of the PS3 is BluRay DVDs, which hold 10 times the amount of space as ps2 discs, so they should be able to fit anything on there they want. Though I've read the system is incredibly difficult to program for.

Yeah I hate they way it is, they got put some of todays stars instead old fighters. I would much rather play as Marco Antonio Barrera than Sonny Liston.
