(1) Castillo/Corrales
(2) Arce/Hussein
(3) Pacquiao/Morales
-- I was really hoping that Cintron and Margarito would be on such a list as this, but alas, it was not meant to be.
PS-- about Coto, he got his chin checked by Corley and passed, but I am still not sold on that boy...
Finally a thread where everyone doesn't put the Castillo-Corrales fight as number one. It was a good fight but there were much better fights this year.
1) Pac vs Morales - I think when there was action it was great. The 1st one was great, Pac getting to morales and then morales coming back to punch Pac's head off the ropes. The 12th when they traded was beutiful to watch. Dissapointment with the fight is that there wasnt enough action, just Morales outboxing Pac.
2 - Corrales vs Castillo - The 10th rnd was great. Plenty of big shots and action. Downside to the fight, too much in-fighting, looks like a clinch and although they fought with power shots, I couldnt really call it a "war".
3 - Acre vs Hussein - This fight had lots of action, cuts to spice things up and the fact that no one expected much of the fight. Dissapointment with the fight is that they seemed to be too sluggish/slow and the punches didnt seem strong.
I'd like to explain my choices even though they are similar to others.
1.) Manny-Morales. The fight was very intense since you were basically waiting for Manny to unleash the straight left which never happened. Then in the 5th rd things got heated with the headbutt. The 12th rd made you love boxing so much more and the fight took place all over the ring with many exchanges from 2 true warriors who as Tarver and Johnson did, put belts aside and fought each other to find out who the best in the sport is.
2.) Arce-Hussein. This fight caught me and probably everyone by surprise. It looked like it would be over in the first 20 seconds when Arce exploded on Hussein and nearly took him out. What happened over the next rounds did nearly steal the main even show. A bloody battle with Arce cut over the bridge of the nose and both exchanging wild crazy shots in every round.
3.) Corrales-Castillo. No doubt about it, a great fight. I'm not much a fan of phone booth fighting, I like to see them fight in and out more so, though this one was great. The 10th rd had to be seen to be believed although I'm sure it left a lot of people besides myself feeling cheated with what Corrales did. It's almost like he used an exploit in boxing just to save himself. Of course it worked and it was smart though that seemed to create a hole in boxing that there are tricks you can do that are wrong, yet you can get away with. Then he pulled out the win although I never felt really happy for him since the mouthpiece issue and the referee stopping it very fast for Castillo. Of course Castillo had his hands low and took some clean shots, though so did Gatti and Ward in their first fight and ref let it go.
Yeah well, that's my thoughts. :)
 Uhhmmm... I reckon
No.1 - Morales vs Pacquiao

No.3 - Cotto vs Corley
No.4 - Arce vs Hussien

Thanks to Fox Sports South showing a womans college basketball game that night; I didnt either
They ended up re-packaging it and replaying it as a Sunday Night Fight. You might check your schedule and see if it will be on sometime. Tracylee had the same issue with Fox Sports South; I found it on as a "Sunday Night Fight" on like a Wednesday at 3PM and taped it for her...
