Just curious how many guys on this forum picked the winner, how many picked the right round (I picked after 8, though I have to admit that I thought it'd be over before the end of the 9th...I knew Castillo was tough, but damn!).
Also, if anyone made serious money on this fight, here's the place to brag. I didn't put cash down personally because I don't bet unless my pick is a serious underdog going in (I've got a bundle on Winky at almost 3/1). Did anyone put more than 5 grand on this fight? Over 1K? Speak up if you did, everybody loves to hear a success story :)
Though I was rooting for Chico....I had picked Castillo by a tough decision win.
I knew that if Castillo won, it wouldn't be a decision....it'd be a brutal combination KO with Corrales being trapped on the ropes when it was delivered. Chico isn't the same fighter he used to be...he's smarter, more skilled, and is able (thanks to Goosen) to apply these abilities to a much greater extent now than in the past. If it went to the cards, I felt Chico would be the winner, but I was equally as sure it'd never hit the cards. When you put two big-ass punchers who like to trade and in-fight into the ring together, scorecards rarely come into the equation as anything more than a curiousity after the fact.
