who do you think were the smartest boxers (fighting wise)
for me it would be out of lennox lewis, ali and ray leaonard .....actually theres loads
Dude you're a leech. Start seeding more fights.
I give out links all the time Via yousent it and ask for nothing in return. I gave out Cassius Clay vs Sonny Liston II for free. Gatti vs Manfready for free. And like 4 other fights for free asshole via yousendit links and I have positive torrent ratio at this website by nearly a gig ratio.
Another thing is, I don't know where you got the idea that Mayweather has a soft chin and Gatti has the heaviest hands in the game from. Some of you Gatti fans talk about Mayweather getting KTFO by Gatti, what fights make you come to this conclusion?
Im sick of reading the same thing. "Gatti can K.O. Floyd easy". You hit the nail on the head in the other thread......in saying that people have been watching too much "Gatti V.S. Gamache" LOL.

How much do you have in the bank McKay? I would like to bet you every last penny.
I am broke what I have on my profile is all my points, I dont give a shit I will bet them all. I wont even ask for odds.
That's the point. Mayweather's defense is like a cage. Anywhere Gatti's tries to throw Mayweather will more than likely see it coming, he's throws too wide.. Secondly, Mayweather is better with those short inside punches than Gatti is. Gatti is definately going to get bruised up in this fight, fighting one of the most accurate punchers in the game.

Either way Floyd is gonna get worn down or caught big and KO'd.

He moves his head good on the ropes but he has never faced a guy with the Pysical strength of Gatti, and power punching of Gatti. Gatti will get him on the ropes and wont be stupid and aim for his head, he wil aim for his chest and either land shots to the body or even catch his head. Either way Floyd is gonna get worn down or caught big and KO'd.
To say putting Mayweather on the ropes is his weakness just as that is Jones' weakness is just plain foolish. Mayweather has defense on the ropes. You're talking about a fighter with some of the best defense in the game. You have a point when you say Jones is not that great on the ropes, but Mayweather...nah.
The fact of the matter is:
You think Gatti is a smart fighter because he is crowd pleasing.
I never said Gatti is one of the smartest fighters in boxing but he is not stupid either. Gatti is a little bit punch drunk but Floyd Mayweather has never been in there with a guy that has the punching power of Gatti or the mentality of Gatti, and Gatti is a crafty veteran who takes on all chalenges. Gatti's power is way superior to Floyd's and he will hurt Floyd to the body. Micky Ward taught Gatti how to throw the left hook to the body and its gonna find its place on floyd he will go down, or at least slow him down and draw him into Gatti's type of fight.
I give Mayweathe credit because as of recently he has an attempt to change his style to be less conservative and more crowd pleasing hopefully he continues that way.

However Gatti will KO him, he will get him against the ropes and aim for the chest and catch Floyd hard and drop him. Plus Gatti's bodyshots will get to Floyd no matter what he does, and Floyd has never tasted the kind of bodyshot that Gatti can dish out.
You are only basing that on the fight with JLC. What you said right there....is an example of his brilliance. Why in the hell would he stand toe to toe with him? makes no sense.
Watch his fights with Bruseles, Ndou, Burton, Hernandez, Corrales, Corley etc.....you will know what I am talking about.
He traded with Burton only because Burton pressed the action and had no power that Floyd was worried about. Burton is a great fighter, very entertaining and skilled but he is not top teir, Floyd did not respect him. Burton's problem is he lacks pop in his punches so Floyd felt fine to open it up with him.
His style is very similar to Roy Jones Jr and they have similar pysical attributes and both probably learned that style in the amateures. They keep their hands way out in front of their legs, and stay way at distance and probe in straight punches 1 to 3 at a time. Against weak opponents they sometimes open up, but never against anybody of stature, watch Castillo vs Mayweather or Hopkins vs Jones.

We are talking about smarts.....not blood and guts.

You are wrong about that mcKay. He does not throw 1 punch at a time. He waits for a weakness...and then throws combinations. To compare his style with RJJ is completely not true. RJJ is a 1 punch counterpuncher like Casamayor is....
Mayweather is a counter attacker like JMM is.

Mayweather is not smart he just fights like a like bitch. He is blessed with a remarkable ability of speed. He really is not that smart, he throws one punch and moves away or at the most 3 punches and uses his quick feet to move and away, and he keeps his hands way in front of his legs, and he is always at distance to back away from a punch. He just has natural ability and a conservative fighting style more than smartness.
He has has the same weakness as Roy Jones Jr. get him against the ropes, and let him try to dodge your punches with his head and aim for his chest you can KO him.

I just want to add a Larry Merchant quote about Floyd Mayweather Jr "Floyd did not want to fight in LA or New York, I guess he did New York and LA a favor" while everybody was booing him while he fighting Castillo in his bitch boring conservative style.
Runw/knives, those are all good picks...
I would also like to add:
That Wright was robbed against Vargas. He won the fight decisevly in my opinion...and should only have 1 legitimate loss on his record. That was against Julio Cesar Vasquez.
edited:
I forgot about the Harry Simon Robbery. That was also a close fight that could have gone either way. My bad.

Currently.....I think Hopkins, Mayweather, and Wright are the smartest fighters. Like Jack and Mayweatherfan stressed, Hopkins capitalizes off mistakes by other fighters. He is a pugilist..much like Lennox was, in that he can change his style accordingly as the fight goes on. He determines how he will fight in the early rounds....and then adjusts his gameplan. He outboxed Joppy and Eastman, and stood toe to toe against Holmes, brawled with echols, and chased Hakkar's lame ass around the ring. You never know what you are going to get.
Mayweather is a genious in the ring IMO. He has the ability to dictate the pace of a fight better than anyone else in boxing. Nard may adapt....and be a pugilist....but Floyd never has to change his gameplan. His speed, and counterpunching allows him to unload whenever he wants. I know I have beat a dead horse in talking about the Mayweather V.S. Augustus/Burton fight....but If you watch it, you will understand what I am talking about. I am not saying Burton is a great opponent for him to have faced, but he is no slouch...and should be considered dangerous. Whenever Burton would unload shots...he would use the shoulder tuck technique and throw him off rythim. For every punch he made Burton miss....he landed two clean ones. The same can be said for the Corrales fight. He dictated the pace of the fight with his superior ring intelligence and gameplan allowing him to unload clean shots on Chico.
Wright is a defensive genious all around. It takes either braun (like Vargas and Vasquez showed) in order to beat him. He was relatively still learning the fight game at the time of his first loss, and was still learning when he faced Vargas. Right now....at this point in time...he is an incredible fighter. He does tend to fight on "auto-Pilot" like has been discussed before...because he is so crafty and smart in comparison to the run of the mill opponents he has been facing. And I have to laugh when I say that, considering Mosley was one of them.
