Who P4P could beat Hopkins??

Bernard is still P4P number 1.Someone needs to take that title away from him until he is beaten.I think Taylor might be that guy that beats him, which can open the door for Kostya and Mayweather.

It would be nice if Hopkins actually did fight Joe Calzaghe... It would clear up this discussion. Who P4P could beat Hopkins?? I'd say: Tszyu Pacquiao Morales Tszyu Castillo Calzaghe Mayweather jr Why would Hopkins be rated as #1 P4P champ if someone can beat him? Don't think it would make any sense, would it? But the person who can beat Hopkins and has.. is RJJ!

MAB,RJJ,TITO (Rematch), TARVER, Tszyu and the list goes on. B-Hop is good but pound for pound with the best in all divisions he isnt.

james toney That would be a interesting fight, Toney and Hopkins are two of the most skillful fighters around. Its hard too consider Toney in a P4P fight because of his big belly, especially when you consider much body fat Hopkins has.

Taylor because whether valid or not Hopkins is held in higher regard than Tzyu. Thats probably true, i think Tszyus better than Hopkins at the moment but i know most fans think Hopkins is number 1 P4P. P4P or not i'd rather face Hopkins than Tszyu, Tszyu's strength and power is unreal for his size.

True, a win for Taylor get him a top 5-10 p4p ranking, but it would be moreso due to B-Hop slipping than Taylor being great... Taylor has looked pretty good and just because X has slipped doesnt mean he should retire. He can slip and still be better then everyone even though I dont think he is I agree that Taylor has looked good so i could understand why people give him a good chance, but a few years ago Hopkins would be the clear favourite. A younger version of Hopkins wouldnt have run away from a very average fighter like Eastman, i just think when you have done it all you should retire at the top of your game.

How can Morales be #1 when he just lost to MAB and wasnt that long ago when he lost the first time to MAB and he has had some close fights also with guys like a one arm Chaves Well for one Winky Wright is ranked pretty damn high in P4P so if Trinidad beats him he jumps into the top 5 instant. Also Trinidad destroyed Ricardo Mayorga who gave a hell of a fit to Corey Spinks,(Spinks only won by MD) and beat Vernon Forest twice who was ranked very high P4P. So a Trinidad win vs Wright definitely puts him contention.

If we turned the clock back a few years i think my list would be very different. IMO its time for Hopkins to retire, he's done it all and is very rich. The fact people are giving an untested fighter like Taylor a very good chance against him just proves he's slipped.
