Actually a match with Wladimir Klitschko for the WBA and IBF title eliminators wouldn't sound bad at all. Wladimir Klitschko would permantely rid us of Ruiz, and at the same time set himself to have his pick at the two fighters he could easily demolish. Yeah, Ruiz is slow and has no real pop. Wlad could pick him apart. Still wouldn't prove anything as far as Wlad goes given that Ruiz has lost his belt to 2 middleweights, but given Ruiz's recent standing, it would at least give him some legitimacy in demanding a title shot.
Also, knowing he would lose that fight, Ruiz could demand a high purse for it so he would have money to retire on. Best way to get rid of Ruiz for good.
Good thinking!

I have to say that, after watching Ruiz fight more conventionally....it's easy to see why he prefers the "Slug'n'hug" method. He's no good at anything else. If it'd been a bigger guy in there banging him around with those counter right's, he'd have been on the canvas in the 2nd at the latest, and thoroughly fucked up by the 5th.
wait for Toney to give up the WBA title so Ruiz can fight for the vacant WBA title again and wrestle to victory with it for another 2 years before Jermain Taylors moves up to HW to beat him for it
Actually, it was pleasing to see Ruiz at least attempt to fight like he should. If he fought every fight before like that people wouldn't hate him so much and say he sucks. Next, I think he should fight Wladimir or another top contender, or even a rematch with Toney. It's not like Toney dominated him.
