It was just 4 nights ago that Wladimir Klitschko returned to the ring after a few lame performances, which made him lose the respect and recognition that he enjoyed some years ago. Now we have Golota vs. Brewster for the WBO belt and now I have a question for Wladimir's fans. Would you prefer a fascinating and interesting match against Golota(think about the PPV numbers) or a rematch against Brewster, so he would have a chance to avenge that bizarre loss? I really think that Golota should be the favorite against Brewster and I was hoping that he would get the WBO belt, but I must admit that I want to see Wladimir get the belt from Brewster. That is the way it should be. Anyways, Wladimir should fight Brewster with or without a belt on the line. He needs to redeem himself, because that is the only way he will get some respect.
I am sorry to tell you but both option sare stupid. Wladimir is not going to beat Golota aif they fight for 1. For 2 it would be compltely worthless in terms of buildings Wladimir's reputation and stature to beat Brewster, right After Golota KO's him and he got the gift descison to Kali Meehan.
In any event I would love to see Golota fight Wladimir, it would be interesting, and Wladimir wanted to fight Golota several years ago but at that time Golota felt unprepared, so if they fight it will be coo, but I guarantee Golota will knock him out, Golota is a big puncher with a good chin, just the kind of fighter Wladimir has problems with.
I'm a longtime fan of both fighters - reclaimation projects. And, I'm hoping for a Golota victory over Brewster as much or more as anybody. IMO he got a raw deal in both of his previous title opportunities. As far as I'm concerned, he beat both Byrd & Ruiz.
I believe that if he keeps his head on straight ( like he did in his last two fights ) & keeps his hands busy, he shouldn't have any problems against Brewster. He's a far superior fighter to him in every aspect of the game.
If/when he beats Brewster & takes the WBO title, I think the biggest fight out there for him is one with Wladimir Klitschko. The only way that I don't see it happening is if Wlad signs to fight Chris Byrd first, but King will probably give Byrd the winner of either the Donald-Austin match or the Williamson-Jefferson one.
So, Golota - Klitschkois a VERY good possibility.
However, the bad news for Golota fans is that Wladimir is a bad styles match up for Andrew. As effective as he can often be with it, Golota's a plodder & he throws looping shots. While Klitschko possesses the superior footwork, has better handspeed & throws straight punches. He's a bigger puncher as well. All of which adds up to a distinct edge for Wlad.
Thats why I was kinda surprised. All the boricuas in my gym(well not all, but majority) hate not just wlad but any european fighter. But anyway I was a fan of his since he won olympic gold in 96 and turned pro with his brother in 97. But I guess you are, there are no boundaries in boxing rigt, but there are dump people who try to create them.
I also root for Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera most of the time. If anyone here dares to call me a racist or any shit like that, then that poster has rocks in his head. A good fighter deserves credit, and I could not care less if the guy was from Neverland or from another planet.
Hey, EXciter!!! are you a Wlad fan?
Isn't it clear by now? Well, he used to be my favorite heavyweight prior to the Sanders loss. I still supported him but lost faith after the strange loss to Brewster. I would like to see Wladimir get back to the top again.
By the way, this shows that Boxing has no boundaries because here is a Boricua saying that Wladimir Klitschko was his favorite Heavyweight. I am also a Jirov fan.

Stupid is the fact that you can't see the purpose of a Brewster rematch. It is to redeem himself, HIMSELF only! Who cares if Brewster loses in one round against Golota. Wladimir needs to erase that loss because if Brewster becomes a bum and starts losing, that loss will look even worse on his record.

1st He fights Golota for the belt.
If he wins and is a title holder..
2nd He gives Brewster a rematch and kicks his ass!
How likely is this? "Hey you never know!"
