The guy is only 24 and thinks he is so good. I've seen his last fight, and I wasn't impressed. He is a heavypuncher but he lacks natural skills. He still needs a good 12 fights have enough experience be ranked top 10. If he fought Byrd right now he would get destroyed. Thats why I have so much respect for Taylor, he knows he has time to wait and improve his skills before fighting Hopkins or for the championship at all. Peters is too cocky. I don't think he has felt a real heavyweight punch so far in his career. He will be in for a big surprise when he does. However I still think he has some potential in the future.
I will be laughing my ass off when Sam wins the title and you are all left eating your words. No doubt many of you will then jump on the Super P wagon, but why wait? I am telling you right now that he's going to be the best heavyweight since Lewis. The only concern I have about him is his stamina and I have a strong feeling it's an unnecessary one. I won't know for sure until he goes the distance but I have a strong hunch that he will impress me there as well.
yeah, it's a ballzy move to say these things.. on one hand if you're wrong, you're considered a dumbass, if you're right, you're considered "lucky"

You remind me of the promoter character played by jeff goldbloom in the great white hype. you found this guy peter, youre on his bandwagon, youve let the hype convince you thats hes going to win, youve got all your marbles in his corner, running your mouth, posting his big ugly tracy morganesque face all over the site and whats going to happen??? hes gonna come out fighting and get knocked out and what the hell are you gonna do then??? jump on the next bandwagon thats comes into town and pretend that you discovered him. youre pitiful, so is Sam.

That was Williams "Half man-Half idiot" lol Williams was easily outboxing Peter in the first round, blocking punches and seemingly not being affected whatsoever. I seriously expected that jackass to win, because I've seen him fight before, and I know he has some skills. Then he gets stupid and while pushing off and backing up, drops both of his hands. Peter then throws a airplane-spin around punch that my grandma could have ducked and knocks Williams "Half man-half dumbass" completely out of his senses. I have rarely been more dissapointed than that.
I agree with you.Jeremy Williams has the worst chin I have ever seen!!!
This Peter tank might not have much technical skills though he catch you with one of his hooks and it's lights out. You saw what he did to um Williamson was the guy's name? He threw like a right hook I believe it was which wasn't even his power hand nor was that Williamson guy expecting it and it was complete lights out. It would take a really technical boxer to move in and out properly and dodge those massive shots of his although I feel he's got a great punchers chance. That or as good as Sanders...

I'm not really well versed on either fighter, but from what I saw Chris Byrd is probably capable of hitting harder than Diaz, if he were to sit down on his punches. That being said, whenever Diaz hit Peter with a solid right hand, Peter stopped punching, and didn't continue to run in on Diaz, either. Maybe if he becomes more rounded as a fighter, he'll be sucessful. To me though, right now he seems too skittish for the straight brawler type.
I agree. Peter i think is going at an ok pace. He isn`t fighting top ten yet but he is fighting top 30. I think putting him in with a Oleg Maskaev or a Larry Donald would be a step in the right direction. We`d be able to judge him off those performances because both Maskaev and Donald have fought some top quality guys. Then by the new year providing he gets by those guys put him in with Kirk Johnson or dare i say Mike Tyson
( Tyson is a top 20 fighter at this point ).
Maskaev would actually be a very smart fight for Peter to take as his step up fight. Maskaev seems to get a pass for his chin.
I wouldn't really call hsi power so-so. That's not accurate. He has KO'd some people earlier than they were ever taken out, and he KO'd Juan Carlos Gomez who had never even lost, had never seemed hurt, much less been KO'd. Of course he does not have great power but good enough. In any case, Diaz earned a shot at Peter by stopping Gomez. Everyone knows Peter is not top 10 yet, and he will not be fighting top 10 guys until a year or two, if he is smart.
JCG was not serious for that fight at all, and anyways he's over-rated heavyweight who's nothing more than a blown up cruiser weight who came into that fight at 228 lbs when in his previous fight against Sam he weighed 213 lbs. Diaz has 8 KOs in 13 wins, most of which are against nobodies. Some of the people who Diaz couldn't KO were KO'd by the likes of Terry Smith, Lyakhovich, Faruq Saleem, Garing Lane, Pedro Franco, and Nikolai Kulpin, none of which have much pop except for maybe Saleem, but then again Saleem has just built up his high KO % fighting bums.
