i think judah is still immature. fools around a little too much. decent skills and speed and power but need to be more serious. i think his training would suffer because he is too cocky
I don't belive Margarito is one dimensional.Even if he was 1 dimensional he is too tall and long for Zab Judah. Kostya Tszyu is one dimentional and he knocked out zab Judah in the second round. It only takes a one dimensional fighter to beat Judah.
Juda is just ducking Margarito because he knows he wont stand achanceagainst him. And Margarito is way better than Mosely thats why mosely refused the 1.1 million dollars he was offered to fight Margarito. Mosely said it himself that he is not ready to take on margarito. Antonio Margarito is the best 147lb fighter and he will take on Oscar de la Hoya, Mosely or Juda but they r all scared to fight him
so they duck him.
He was really only knocked down once from a punch. The second time he was lunging forward and he fell, the third one he took a knee after a little combo, and the fourth time he just fell backwards on his own. Also after the 4th knockdown Cintron just kept looking towards his corner, he really didn't try to stay up or fight back at all.
Damn, sounds bad. I almost dont want to see it, but I need to just to try and get a 'fix' on what was going on with him. This was a major fight for him, and a hugh step upward...so to not even try to fight back just doesnt make sense. I realize he may not have been ready for Margarito..simple as that, but it sounds like there was something else (mental maybe) going on as well.
Already said I didnt get to see it (kid was sick) but from what I read his corner threw in the towel after a total of 4 knockdowns. I may change my opinion after viewing it of course, but as of now I still like to believe that with him being so young he can and will bounce back from this.

Sure they all lose one eventually but Cintron did not even belong in the same ring as Antonio and this was supposed to be a u pickem fight going in.
I agree with you that you can't be too hard on Kermit but then again lets be realistic for a moment...you said you don't think he will be down very long, well it depends upon what you mean by that.
If you mean that he is going to be knocking around fringe contenders than I would certainly agree with you, but if you think he becomes a legit champion anytime soon (meaning next 3 or 4 years) than I think you need to watch the effort he gave on Saturday one more time.
It wasn't as bad as Mike Anchondo's performance but it was pretty piss poor, Kermit still may be a good fighter but he is most likely not the fighter many including myself hoped he would be, he could have lost and things could have been viewed much differently...however it was the way he lost that concerns people...he fought like he had no heart beat...he fought like Mike Anchondo and that is unacceptable I don't care who you are in the ring with.

Spinks is a decent fighter but when you start talking about undisputed champs Corey Spinks becomes a bum.
Bahaha! This cracked me up.
Oh yeah, talk is cheap - lets see the fights Zab. There's nothing worse than a shadow champ who hides behind his belts and doesnt defend them.
Zab Judah is letting the whole undisputed champion thing go to his head. He could very well turn out like the previous welterweight champions (Mosley, Lewis , Forrest , Mayorga , Spinks) whose reign did not last very long. I'd love to see Judah against Margarito, i think margaritos power would catch judah off guard. Shane isnt the monster he used to be, I think that Judah would beat him by decision.
And the last picture that I saw of Oscar, it looked like he had quite a bit of work to do to get back to welterweight. I'm wonderin when he's supposed to come back down anyway?
After seein his fight with Estrada, I don't think that Mosley's got much against Judah right now. Zab's tellin the truth when he says that Shane is gonna have to work his way up, cus Estrada really shouldn't have been that much trouble for him. I'm not gonna anything away from David though, he went in there and did his thing, but c'mon, we all know that Mosely should've had that show closed out.
Mosley looked like the Mosley of 154. Hesitant, unconfident, and throwing zero combinations. I got the feeling like he almost wanted to go 10 rounds. He had the opportunity to throw that body shot at will and it was obviously hurting Estrada.
There were countless times Estrada threw a slow, looping right that Mosley refused to counter. Each time I looked for mosley to get in there with some combos but...nothing.
There is no question that Margarito would be a bigger test for Judad at this stage. Mosley needs to stop talking about combinations and actually throw a few. Zab talks a lot shit, but I'm gonna agree with him..theres no reason Estrada should have gone 10 rounds the way he fought. he had heart and not much else.
Thanks for the info...alot of people tend to forget just how very young this guy is, with so very, very much still to learn. I wont call him a quitter either, and I sure wont give up on him as a force to be dealt with in the wel. div. He's very green, with plenty of time left to redeem himself. Since when is it a shame for a young, not quite so experienced guy to lose to someone of Maragritos caliber anyway?? He'll get past this, and still go very far. If he can handle the mental aspects of this loss, then I have no worries. I dont think with all that he's been thru in his private life that this will 'ruin' him or keep him down for very long. And they all lose one evuentally anyway..he simply was not ready for Margarito.

Nah,by the time Cintron was bleeding you could see he was mentaly breaking down,by the last time he was down he was looking to his corner for help,it was kinda obvious,he certainly didnt dispute the dicision with anybody after they stopped it,i wouldnt call him a quitter tho, people call him a quitter because of how overwhelmed he looked,he lost to the much better fighter.

If Margarito is so basic and one dimensional then he should fight him next to prove his point. If he doesnt he is just talking out of his ass and might turn out to be like spinks who ducked Margarito, and elected to fight a semi-retired Miguel Angel Gonzalez instead.
Agreed. If Zab stays true to his words and his beliefs, he should have no problem fighting Margarito. IMO, it might be a bad idea because Margarito is no Cory Spinks.

judah is just real confident........but he would definitely beat margarito and im pretty sure he beats mosley too..mosley of old destroys judah though
mosley of old.. oh you mean the guy on steroids
I admit to not getting to see it, but from everything I've read, his corner threw in the towel..not Kermit himself. (damn, I hate to debate without having seen it!) If the corner did the quitting, how does that make Cintron a quitter?
