Do you know why? Was it to do with the fact of Moorer decision to become a heavyweight?
Well in the legendary nights, It just says they split up cuz of additudes and I bet it was Moorer, he just had a crappy additude
Emanuel made Moorer and he could have been something big if he stayed with him...
If Emanuel ditched him it was probably cuz of his additude
Why is he retiring? He didn't look half bad in his last outing against Jirov and I'm sure he could've scored a fight this year with a contender like Peter,Tyson,Brock,Donald. And why not, I would rather watch a ppv with Moorer vs Tyson than McBride. Who knows maybe he managed his money wisely and doesn't need a big payday?
More than anything else, Moorer will be remembered for being a footnote to George Foreman's historic and unbeleivable recapturing of the heavyweight crown.
yup..............
I don't think we've seen the last of Michael Moorer.
No doubt, Michael isn't retiring, Teddy Atlas is a pathological liar, he makes the most ridiculous assumptions, and has no comprehension of how to motivate fighters....he's easily the most over-rated trainer of this generation

I hope he is; despite being somewhat lethargic and cautious as a heavyweight I respect his heart for getting up all those times against Holyfield II and his entire career below heavyweight. I think he'd be a HOF'er if he'd stayed at Cruiser or below instead of goin for the bucks and glory at heavy. His punch was truly something at those weights but not so much as a heavy.
When did he say this? Moorer has a fight on the Golota/Brewster undercard and is coming off of a nationally televised KO win...
And BoxRec still has the fight on
Teddy Atlas: "Michael Moorer called me and is retiring"
I am somewhat glad. Don't want to see another David Tua/Castillo type of performance...
great times Michael! you have given a lot
