Going to buy tickets to my first fight....

Pull up a chart on the venue's website. It depends on how much money you are willing to part with. At the St. Louis's Savvis Center, a low seat in the $150 range was perhaps a better seat than the $500 and $250 ring seats, because you could see even with the ring rather than up at it. But it's all your perspective and what you can afford... Personally, I want to sit as close as I can without feeling guilty about how much money I spent...

It depends on the venue. Where is the fight? I've seen fights at the MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay, you can't go wrong with any seat at either of those arenas, especially the MGM, even the nosebleeds aren't all that far from the action. I sat in the top row at MGM for Morales/Ayala and they were a lot better than I thought they'd be.
