I don't see any bets, nor predictions for the upcoming fight.
I say Wlad by KO. This is his last chance. If he gets Knocked the F*^% Out.. he is history.

Wladimir Klistchko KO before the end of round 3. He wants to come back and make a good impression against a decent opponent.
I don't think him knocking someone out in 3 will impress anyone. This is what he is known for doing. To make a good impression, at least for me, as a fan,.. he has to KO in the late rounds. He has to prove his stamina and his chin.
We all know he has hard punching combinations.. and can stay in control.. but I want to see if he has improved his defense technique and his recent stamina problem
Wladimir should do well in this fight. The Klitschko's have learned how to cheat from Don King.
They've planned a round two Laxative sneak attack on Castillo. He should be shitting his shorts by round five
I wondered what that shitbird (Bozo) said, but wasn't going to bother reading it unless someone else felt like responding to it with a quote.
And I still think you could wake an old, fat, out of shape Sanders up from a sound sleep, toss gloves and a mouth piece at him and shove him into the ring in his PJ's, and he'd lay waste to about 90% of the heavyweights in the world within the first 2 rounds. Of course he'd be falling over at the start of the 3rd.....GAWD, that man's laziness makes me angry.
Unfortunatly, fighters aren't ranked on how you THINK they'd do in random hypothetical senarios.
All we have to go on was what happened, and that was a 37 year old Sanders who (had only fought twice in 2 years after getting KO'd by Rahman) got into the ring with Wlad UNRANKED by the 3 major organizations at the time, and he scored a resounding KO.
Maybe he had great potential, but all it ever amounted to was him being a frindge contender who was KO'd in 2 rounds by Nate Tubbs.
I would go on a big rant here about the Sanders vs. Rahman fight, but since you think that Rahman is a nobody, I'll let it slide.

Wow is that ever a pile of horse shit.
Sanders wasn't even ranked when Wlad fought him, and his biggest fight was a KO loss to Rahman.
He's also been KO'd in two rounds by NATE TUBBS.
The fact is he didn't maxamize his potential, and after getting stopped by Rahman, he had two more fights in 2 years before getting into the ring with Wlad at 37 years old.
He was the very definition of a fringe contender.

I disagree that Sanders was "ancient", or that he could be considered shady competition. Sanders, especially for the first couple of rounds, is one of the most dangerous heavyweights on the planet. His iron chin, blazing handspeed, natural talent, accuracy, devastating power, orientation, size, and ability to make a hole for that straight left could've easily made him undisputed and unified champ of the world. He was lacking only in dedication, and conditioning. I can't think of another heavyweight in the last 20 years (maybe even longer than that) who had all the "right stuff" that Sanders had. And I honestly believe that, had Sanders been in top condition against Rahman, he'd have finished him off, fought Lewis, beat Lewis and been champ for at least a few years, provided he stayed in condition while he was on top.
It just goes to show that, no matter what you're born with, you can still fuck it away if you try hard enough....or in his case, if you don't.
Anyway, you can blame the Brewster loss, and mediocre showing against Williamson on Vlad...but the loss to Sanders was simply a kid stepping into the ring with an awesome fighter who, despite his age and laziness, was still more than all but a few top heavyweights could've handled at the time, and Vlad wasn't one of them.

I can see what you mean except Wlad really is no Barrera at this point... He has struggled against some pretty shady competition. KO'ed by an ancient Sanders, punches himself out against a nobody in Brewster, and looks horrible even in victory against 'Touch of Sleep' (who even Joe Mesi who is not known for his power was able to KO in one round)... So I think that we cannot look at Wlad as THAT much of a favorite (although he is certainly still the favorite)...

You gotta like Wlad to win here, I doubt he will win pretty, but he will probably win by some sort of middle rounds knockout. However, this is not saying too much as Castillo is not exactly a guy we are gonna be seing in the top ten anytime soon. Wlad would be eaten alive by most if not all top ten heavyweights at this time. I mean, can you picture him against somebody who really applies pressure like Sam Peter? Klitschko has been terrified of getting KO'ed everytime he has gotten in the ring since the Sanders fight. Until he gets that confidence back by standing in there with a really solid fighter I do not expect Wlad to make any noise at heavyweight. The ESPN card would be better then this garbage at 50 times its price now, two heavy weights outside the elite or four top ten welterweights, and undefeated heavyweight knocking on the door of the divisions best? Easy choice if you ask me.
I'm not gonna gonna take sides on this spewfest.....
A wise man ;)
..... but I think Wlad wins by KO early, Castillo is a 18-0 prospect coming from a layoff. This HBO broadcasts is gonna cripple the ESPN PPV, anyone actually going to watch ESPN for CasH when they can watch this?
I prefer the Vlad fight anyway. I want to see if the kid has regained his confidence. I think he has, and I predict the same. Very early KO, after an aggressive and confident performance by Vlad.
Also, if both Tyson and Wlad win does this set up a match? I read in a russian newspaper it does. Anyone can verify this?
I've heard rumors, same as you....dunno if they're bound in fact or not. Quite possibly they are, though. It would be a pretty good matchup, in my opinion, provided Vlad has found himself again. Tyson will be dangerous for at least another year or 2, and Vlad needs to prove himself against a former legend if he can.
.....I just did a time zone conversion on the start time for the fight in Germany and it looks to me like the fight is like 4:40 P.M. eastern standard time. If that't the case then that fight is delayed on the HBO telecast over 5 hours. I know I won't be on boxingscene to see our German friends post the results before the fight. Anybody else wanting to watch the fight and not know the outcome before hand better stear clear of the boards from like 4:45 on saturday.

castillo does more better legs, better chin, better everything
You are saying:
He is more skilled, hits harder, has faster hands, has the size advantage, the experience edge, etc....over Wladimir Klitschko?
I would have to argue with that man. I would, really.

Probably right that Vlad ha good chance of simply walking right thru Castillo. But, I disagre on the KD reaction, because I see it as one the more important deciding factors. We'll know very fast if Vlad is back, if he doesn't turn to mush and keeps ging as you expect he will. I see Vlad reacting very poorly to a KD, because he knows Castillo is supposed to be a 3rd-rate guy that shouldn't be knowckin' down a HBO boy. Vlad knows that his last two outings didn't end well when the lesser guy wouldn't back off.
Castillo, with a KD, will then test Vlad's mind, not his skills. I see Vlad getting KO'd, if Castillo finds a way to get a KD early.
Also, you can add Sanders to the list of guys who've KD'd Vlad.
Yeah, I should have been more specific. I know Sanders had him out, I just meant that he kept getting up, I know he was by no means fit to continue, but he kept getting up. Against Puritty he got up as well, he was exhausted, but he got up. I do understand your point, though.
