Yeah but did Morales win Paq's belt when he beat him? I'm not sure. The problem is I think that the Ring rules were assuming that contenders from the same weight class would fight each other exclusively. If you wanted to fight for a belt, you had to officially step up to that weight class, like Oscar did. I'm not sure if they counted on people fighting guys outside their weight classes in one-time specialty fights, at least not when titles were on the line. morales did not took Pac's title cuz the fight was at SFW, and the FW title was not on the line 3/19 ... but i am more confused on the SFW standing why is there no champion, I thought Erik was the champ at SFW before MAB took it away from him, who was the last one to hold this title at SFW ???

whoever wants this privilege should fight for it. true No. 1 & No. 2 should fight to be champion ... but buddy IMHO, PAC & JMM are miles ahead of the other contenders at FW, they should and they must fight again ...

i was just joshing with you Sturm. Not for me he didnt Nard hopkins elevation is in longevity, consistency and deciation over the years not any one fight in my book. His best win remains Tito, not del la hoya. Sturm I think is ok though for the record he is up there with the challengers and has as good a chance as say Taylor in taking over the division in my view. PAC got his RING belt when he beat MAB, if TITO beats Winky, he should get his belt, thats how i thought ring gets their champ, by beating the current champ ... He's only beaten Chop Chop and freakin' Bruseles at 147 so how could he be ranked ahead of Gatti or Harris, who are more established at 147, and much less Tsyzu, by far and away the real champ of the division? I'd take Harris and Tszyu over Mayweather, but PBF should handle Gatti easily as long as he doesn't get caught or loses his head and decides to trade. I think that's Gatti's best option, irritate PBF with rough tactics enough to anger him and urge him to get into the pocket. 147 is loaded right now; I'd love to see Harris-Cotto, PBF-Tszyu, PBF-Cotto, Harris-Tszyu, Gatti-Harris, not to mention Witter against all those guys... ....Good analysis and I can't disagree with anything you said. :)
