I'm a big fan of Klitschko, who has great hitting power (35 wins / 34 KO's) :boxing:, but I don't think he can keep up under pressure and can be outboxed. No doubt he will KO Rahman if he dictates the pace of the fight, however if Rahman puts as much pressure on Klitschko as he put on Meehan, Klitschko will go down. Of course Klitschko is no Meehan either.
It also appeared to me at the end of the 6th round , that Lennox Lewis may have been turning the tide. Then you watch how he literally collapsed and nearly missed his stool in the corner. Right then it looked as though Lewis had virtually no chance to remain standing for another two rounds . That kind of exhaustion doesn't give way to a second wind.
i think lennox got out of jail in that fight, watch lennox fall onto his stool at the end, he was very very tired,he only had a couple of good spells in that fight, but klitchko dominated overall, klitchko also took lewis's best shots, so it was looking worrying for him, i think he left that night a very relieved man
Yeah and Lewis as reported by USA Today was wobbling all the way back to his dressing room after the fight.
Alot of people say Vitali clearly was winning the fight and was on his way to winning a descision but I dont think so. Vitali won like the first 2 or 3 rounds and Lennox totally took over after that from my point of view. Lennox was pretty much dominating when teh fight was stopped. Vitali's performance may have gone down due to worrying about the cut or obscured vision though.

How did Lewis outbox him when the fight was 58-56 through 6 rounds? Vitali also outlanded him by 30+ punches.
I will just agree to disagree with you, to me it seemed like Lennox really started to dominate after the 3rd round. However I admit I could be wrong it has been a while since I watched that fight.
It was a great exciting fight though. Hopefully they fight again.
you are wrong vital was 4 rounds to 2 up, frank bruno was also ahead of him when he was stoped, and ray mercer was also outboxing him at times throughout their fight
Bruno was up on 1 card, the other 2 had it an even fight.
Lennox Lewis outboxed him IMO. But thats no shame Lennox Lewis outboxed everybody througout his entire amateure and pro career.

When has Vitali ever been outboxed? Rahman's only chances to win this are to catch Vitali with a good shot or cut him.

Well Rahman does have a draw with David Tua to his credit as well as the Lewis win. He also holds wins over Kali Meehan by KO, Terrence Lewis by KO, Corrie Sanders (SA) By TKO, and he has only be stopped 3 times, and that was by Lewis, Maskaev, and Tua. He lost a wrestling match to Ruiz by UD, and he has that loss to HOlyfield from that headbut.
danny williams knocked meehan out a lot quicker than rahman, he just about beat al cole, and a very old holyfield was giving him a lot of problems
That would be a cool fight if Tua fought Klistchko, but Tua might not be the same anymore after such a long layoff and Vitali would probably outbox him easily.
My only point is that both of these guys have extreme power. They are probably the 2 hardest hitting active heavweights right now so that is one thing that makes the fight interesting.
Peter and Tua hit harder than both of them rolled in a sandwich, then cut up into pieces, and re-baked for fluffiness. Tua is active now. he is currently training for a comeback fight. regardless of him not having fought for a while.
