Thought I'd start a new thread on this, even thought there's another FNF one going around.
Best ones that I remember are:
Glen Johnson - Always a great guy. Had a few great lines.
Larry Holmes - Full of himself, as usual. But could talk about boxing for several weeks straight and still have something interesting to say.
Buster Douglas - Cool hearing about the Tyson fight again.
Vernon Forrest - Just seems like a good guy.
Worst ones:
Riddick Bowe - Fuck, that was brutal. They should never have brought him on.
Virgil Hill - When has Virgil Hill ever said anything worthwhile?
That chick that was in Million Dollar Baby - Don't even remember her name. Terrible show all around.
i liked Leija.
extremely humble man. nothing worse than an underdog acting like the champ.
plus he didnt stutter,or say 'um' every fucking two words like zab, and he did the interview shortly after his ko loss to gatti, and manned up to what happened, and gave gatti all the credit in the world. leija is a warrior.
anyone hear DLH talking last week on FNF? said um about 200 times in a paragraph, paused before every word. that poor guy is punch drunk.
DLH : "uhhhhh, I, uhhhhh, think that , uhhhhhhh, we will be bringing, uhhhhh, many great fights to the table, uhhhhhhmmm, and tonight we will see some, uhhhhhhhh, good action as well."
Lol.
When they said that Riddick Bowe was going to be in-house I about threw up. From some of the clips I thought he was going to be terrible. He wasn't as bad as I thought but listing him among the best?!
And Toney? As the best? His mindless rants were bothersome and boring.
Glen Johnson was by far the best. I thought Tarver was pretty good too. Jesse James Leija was also pretty good.
Jermaine Taylor bounced around too much and was probably too nervous. But that's understandable.
toney was the worst, his breathing into the mic was louder than his talking. it sounded terrible like hukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk hewwwwwwwwwwwwwww hukkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk hewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
I liked Riddick Bowe's because I wanted to hear and see Bowe for myself. I wanted to see what he had to say. Hurricane Carter's was also good. Larry Holmes was funny when he said "George Foreman's Grill is a fraud! You can take an average grill and turn it sideways and get all the fat out."
Oh god. Did Larry really say that? He is fucking dumb as shit.
I totally agree. I would like to add Irish Mickey Ward to the best, and also
Rubin "The hurricane" Carter. They made a movie about him with Densel Washinton. He was a really good host.

Hilary Swank must have been the girl you are think of. I didn't see that one though.
Nah, she was a real boxer. Rijker I think her last name is. She was really terrible. During the Ali fight they asked her what Ali was going to impress her and she said "Nothing". Then she spent the rest of the show whining about how Ali woudlnt' fight her.
Basically that whole night made women's boxing look completely amateurish. Here's betting that ESPN will never try anything like that again anytime soon.
I really liked Vinny Pazienza. He was making fun of RJJr talking in the third person. "Vinny Pazienza thinks RJJr is a funny guy".
