I just saw some old fights. There is no way that Hatton will win this fight. Skill wise, he is nothing compared to Kostya.
Old fights!! If i watched a current fight of Hatton and then watched an old fight of Tszyu i'd be under the impression Hatton would hand Tszyu a beating but that obviously not true. Hattons improved so much recently and there's no way you can judge him from old fights.
IMO both fighters is a their peak in boxing and it should be a good fight.
It’s an extremely interesting fight. I thought that Hatton is very strong physically but talentless fighter who can do nothing versus top-fighters. But his 2 bouts proved me wrong. And now it’s not important who will win, Tszyu or Hatton. Anyhow Ricky will become champion inside 3 years. The most important here is to save psychics if Tszyu will win.
Ricky was never really tested. Tszyu was in the hard fights but no one of his opponents had perfect tactics to really taste him. Vince had it.
Some weeks ago Hatton told that never used his whole potential. If he will do the same things as he did in his last fights he’ll be annihilated. But now he speaks the right things about his tactics. Will he be able to grow and change himself enough to defeat Tszyu? It seems to me no. Tszyu will be the same as he was in his last bouts and Hatton will show his changes. May be he’ll show the truth.
Hey that's Scribe Lyrics right? I went and saw him when he came to Brisbane...people were goin' insane...it was awesome!! That boy's got some talent...
Song is called Not Many (Remix) and the actual guy who sings that part is another NZ rapper called Savage. Have seen Scribe a couple of times in Syd and has always been a wicked show. 50 cent has massie wraps on the guy.
Only people from Great Britain would feel that he is the better fighter, and more than likely they are listening to "blue moon" while they are typing that.
LOL!!!!!!!!!! I completely agree!!!!!!!
Hey, I mean...whatever floats people's boat. Some people here think Gatti actually stands a chance against Mayweather. I suppose we will see about these two fights. I highly doubt Hatton or Gatti will win either of their respective fights, and will be processed like cheese.

Just a question as to why everyone on here thinks KT has an average chin. The fight that he was stopped he, he punched himself out, and other than that I can't remember him going down from a punch to the jaw. Judah hit him with a great shot early but he did not go down and was able to comeback and KO the guy within 2 rounds! What gives?
Tszyu is the best @ 140 easy & until proven otherwise!! Hatton's face will look like a diced tomato after 5 rounds and I can see the fight being stopped on cuts. That or Tszyu lands the right hand from hell and it's all over red rover. Then we can look forward to Floyd & Gatti getting crushed by the Russian Tank.

Look at his awesome record.
How many fights of Magee's have you seen? He was scheduled to fight Sharmba Mitchell before Magee was attacked so Mike Stewart fought Mitchell instead, He was very lazy in the ring but had great skills & was a dangerous counter puncher, top 10/15 at that time no problem. Just before the attack he was beaten in a close fight with Oktay Urkal in Germany(even the judges had it close so that tells you something!) then had another fight or two, was supposed to fight Mitchell then was attacked. limited in top class maybe but hardly trash.
I've only seen a few fights of both, but I don't think Hatton will beat Tszyu. He cuts too easily, and I think Tszyu's power will be too much for him. He's pretty good, but not able to hande Kostya yet.
Eamonn Magee - trash fighter? yeah right :D
Nobody can say they are certain Hatton will win because this is his first time in with an opponent on this level. Phillips was full of ephedrine when he fought Hatton & had only just lost a close decision to Mitchell so I don't see how it's that bad.
Yes. Trash fighter.
This is hardly a matter of nationality man. To say that Hatton is the better fighter, would be simply that. Only people from Great Britain would feel that he is the better fighter, and more than likely they are listening to "blue moon" while they are typing that. Hatton has faced a consistent string of nobodies as a professional. His only "real" victories IMO, were his wins over Phillips and Tackie. Phillips was old and washed up, and should not have been in the ring. He made the fight tougher than expected as well. I suppose everyone will say: "Phillips beat Tszyu", but that was an "any given saturday" type deal. Kostya would surely win the rematch. Ben Tackie is a tough fighter, but nothing to necessarily write home about.
Kostya is a machine. There is a reason why he is ranked the second best fighter on earth. He recently knocked out a fighter who I think would murder Hatton, being Mitchell. He made the job look easy. He also holds that knockout win over the current Welterweight Champion of the World. He has faced decent opposition for the longest time, and continues to prove himself over and over. He punches too hard for Hatton, has superior ring intelligence, and has arguably just as good a chin. Hatton was floored by the biggest trash fighter...in Magee. I would have to go to the length that Rockin1 did, and say that Hatton has absolutely no chance. Tszyu will knock him out in the fight, though I am not sure which round.
If the versa happens, you can dig this thread up and ridicule me all you want. I highly doubt it will though. This has the makings of a "Mayweather/Gatti" fight, where 1 man is outgunned.
The post said the Hatton is tough and hyped in England, thats obviously a nationality statement. basically saying thats he's just another overhyped fighter. It would have been easier to say Hatton is a tough fighter but IMO Tszyu has the better ability and will beat Hatton well.
You dont have to be blind to think Hatton will win, its a good styles match so i can see why people think Hatton has the tools to beat Tszyu(even though i'm favouring Tszyu).
I cant agree about Hatton vs Mitchell. I think Hatton would give Mitchell a good beating, i dont think he could stop him as fast as Tszyu did but IMO Hatton wouldnt have any problems. Mitchell just hasnt got the power to stop a rampaging pressure fighter like Hatton.
Tszyu obviously has the power to KO Hatton in any round but i think your underating Hatton ability, he's not just a pressure fighter, he's perfected his style.
Magee's a very good fighter, if he wasnt such a lazy fucker he'd be top ten, without doubt.

Stands little chance against Tszyu?? If Hatton was American nobody would say that, most people in America picked Mitchell to beat Tszyu!! :D
Maybe we shall all pick fights on styles and not nationalitys.

Hatton may be tough and me be hyped in Emgland but he stands little chance against Tsyzu. It will be longer than 3 rounds but I agree that hatton will be stopped.........Rockin' :boxing:

i agree with hurlex, if you watch the stewert fight, when he's throwing those hooks to the body his non-throwing hand is low down near his waist, wide open for over the top counters. tszyu's right hand will have a party on hattons head! hatton is one-paced, one-dimensional and tszyu will have him figured inside 30 seconds.
Sharmba lost the fight vs his own nerves. He was good in the 1st round. In the 2nd and later Tszyu changed nothing but Sharmba started to do all possible to lose. He isn’t a coward but his nerves are bad. Hatton has great nerves and lion heart, he always does his gameplan and that’s why Tszyu will stop him in the 5th-7th.
